:help:me get to the :banana2:
i'm the guy who bought the trilogy off ebay (thanks to the pimp who wrecked it after 5 mos of owning it, found the temporary title, and mug shot);)
i plan on doing the install myself to save a few bucks. plus nothing like sweat equity.
it came out of an 04 and is going into an 03.
1. it came with ecm and harness, do or should i switch these? it will make it to alternative after the install.
2. any advice on things i should do before installing other than a thorough cleaning. plan on checking oil for contaminents and looking at the cylinder walls with a borescope. don't really want to pop oil pan but could.
3. pulling s/c manual off the internet any advice not in the book?
4. both cars had a stock rear end. since it's more of a cruiser i was thinking leave it that way, unless convinced otherwise. it doesn't look like the motor has been torn down so i believe all the internals to be stock.
I know your all probably going to say just stroke it now, but funds aren't there. (remember i already stole the kids piggy banks to get this sucker)
:stupid:sarcasm is appreciated!
just glad to be part of the madness:beer:

You will need to use the PCM that came with the trilogy since your car is a different year. The PCm catch codes are different from car to car.
There is an install tip sheet if someone does not have it handy, I can get one.
:congrats: on the TRILOGY!!! :banana2:

It should be pretty straight forward. I would think the install would be easier due to you having to uninstall the kit. You get the advantage of seeing where everything is before the install.
I recommend putting a group of bolts in plastic baggies and label the bags as to where that set of bolts came from. (Justbobs idea). It made finding bolts during my Eaton swap a breeze.
Remove the wiper cowl and hood. You will gain SO much more room on the backside of the motor and much more light too. (JB's idea too)
Order new "O" rings for the crossover tubes and water inlet adapter that bolts to the lower intake manifold.
When everything you need to take off you car is off. Wipe down the engine and engine bay. Make it nice and clean while you have the advantage of more room!!
Take your time and remember. HAVE FUN. Building your car is as much fun as driving it.
And with your new found power. I highly recommend upgrading your brakes and SS brake lines.

Try going over to MCM , they have a bunch more Trilogy guys over there. Like chuck / Tallboy. He doesn't come over here much. He'll be your best resource.

Make sure that you have all of the parts that you will need to install.
Some things that might have been bolted to the car that you might have forgotten to ask for or they might not have included.
Fuel pump, heat exchanger, coolant tanks, etc, etc.
Just my 4.6 cts.
