1. Will a tire go bad if not used? (of course it will, but how long does it take).... i have a full sized spare and it has never touched the ground, these cars are 10 years old. i was planning on gettin new tires and contimplated getting the spare changed also just cuz the tire is old.... should i just keep my money or go ahead and change it also?
2. I hear so much about taking "your handheld tuner" and bumpin up the idle.. and checking codes.. playing with options, etc;
can someone tell me where the hell is that option to bump up the idle and play with other options.... all i see is check engine and the tunes. I have a xcal 3 from Lidio, and it seems like i cant do half the things u all can do with your hand held devices
Gracias' ppl

Great question on the spares, I have two of them and considering just buying rear tires the next time I need skins.

The spare should be fine with no load on it and not exposed to the elements. I pulled the original spare out of my 62 Starfire and it has no dry rot or wear. It even still has 50 yr old air in it.
To adjust the tune you would see a menu just before you load the tune into the car that asks if you want to adjust the options. If not then its locked and you have to call Lidio to unlock the user options.

Sunlight's a killer on tires.
Locked tuner, call Lidio, he should be able to get you squared away, Mac.

I bought a full size spare from an old member and it's still like brand new, actually just checked the air in it last week and had to add a few pounds of air to it.
If the user end options are locked then you can't do anything, Lidio would have to send you another tune where they are unlocked. Like Blackened300a said, when you go to load the file it will ask if you want to adjust options or parameters, if not then it's def locked. Some users do this so people won't mess around with the tune and screw things up (which can happen if you don't know what you are doing).
