Tune and SCT Xcalibrator3 Question

Alternative Auto Performance does the Marauder Tune and SCT Xcalibrator3 for $399. I think that pretty reasonable but I'm a single father with two kids and am tying to save a buck.

If I bought a used unmarried/unlocked SCT X3 3000 for like $150 could I still get Alternative to provide me with the tunes? Would I have to ship them the SCT? Or would they send me a CD for like $50 to download or something? How does that work? Are there any other vendors that I don't need to buy the SCT from them but would provide me with a tune?

I already have an SCT Tuner but I want another tune besides the program tune because I really dont kno how to change all the things with the tuner to improve my performance
