Thinking about upgrading the brakes. Besides the Stainless line kit, what would you guys recommend for drilled/slotted rotors? Pads?

Stock rotors if they are in good shape and Porterfield R4-S pads.

I got my hawk hps front pads for $40 bucks off Ebay and a bit more for the rears. And this for rotors http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-FRONT-2-REAR-CROSS-DRILLED-AND-SLOTTED-PREMIUM-PERFORMANCE-BRAKE-ROTORS-/220946410055#ht_4332wt_922

Napa Ceramics were also a big hit, I won't be getting any more Hawk, personally they squeal way too much for me. R1 has some great rotors for the price.

Have heard of issues with ceramic pads apparently being too harsh on rotors, anybody hear of or ever have any issues with them?

Totaly not true i run wagner ceramic thermo quiet pads and they are excellent! no dust, no fade just good pads
I think you may be thinking of metalic pads which eat rotors, and throw a lot of brake dust:mad2:

Ceramic pads will eat rotors up quicker than semi-metallics, however they generally won't leave black dust or make noise. The reason they wear down rotors quickly is the material they are made of is harder than the rotor material, something has to wear...ie the rotors. So some stay away from them as rotor replacement is more expensive. However if you don't want noise or dust they are something to consider.

Not sure where you got that info from but your flat out wrong bud! metalic pads eat rotors faster than any other!
Thats a known fact!;)

Well then show me corrected, had multiple forums where people had stated the same and noticed what seemed to be much faster wear on my own with ceramic pads, but maybe it was brand or something else...

Im currently running ceramic pads on R1concept rotors with no abnormal wear to the rotors!
But dont take my word for it Ask Todd from TCE:P

TCE Wilwood FTW!! At least for the front.
I have the front Wilwood kit with SS brake lines = awesome.
I have R1 Concepts with Napa ceramic pads on the rear with SS brake lines = great upgrade
And I flushed the entire system too.
All in all. Stops WAY better!! Money well spent.

Many Companys make their Ceramic Pads as little different ( the compounds they use) so the amount of wear on the rotors may be different from company to company & so does the stopping power of the pads. Some are called Carbon Ceramic, some are called Carbon Metalic Ceramic & some are just called Metalic Ceramic or just Plain Ceramic.
