It is a little whinier!
Numbers are 473/477
Totally different animal now!

I have nothing but great things to say about Mo's

Jeff is a great guy, takes the time to talk to you about what's going on and explains things in laymans terms.
He made 12 pulls before he was happy with my tune and then road tested it to be sure.
He took me for a ride and the car annihilates the tires through 1st and 2nd gears.
Good thing I didn't get good at launching the car before because I gotta learn again anyway!

Me too brotha! I checked at a few Whipple dealers and they all said they drop ship direct from Whipple. So I called Whipple yesterday to see how quick I could get if I ordered direct from them and the said they have a 3 week turnaround at the moment. I ordered back on March 1 so hopefully it will be getting shipped very soon. Patience is not a virtue of mine!:P Kim will vouch for this. She's ready for me to get it back worse than you guys are. I guess I've about drove her nuts! :D

Doom, I Posi Ported the Trilogy last summer, doing that, Cobra Shorties and Cobra offroad mids I gained Roughly 24 Hp and lost about 1/2 PSI of boost.

And no we didn't say ribs, we said FAT MATT'S. If you are in Atlanta, go, don't hesitate.

Turns out my last tune wasn't up to par, I decided to change the plugs just before I headed to Ga. I found signs of det. in the back 2 cylinders. I scoped the cylinders and saw nothing in the way of damage just preliminary metal transfer on the plugs.

Seems my prior tuner had me running pretty lean and with lots of timing to back it up. It's a good thing I had forged pistons or I would be back in the same boat I was in a couple of years ago.

The only difference is if it happened again I would be living in Marauder Blvd.

The numbers on last years dyno pull were also a bit optimistic. My dyno sheet said 426 Hp but when Jeff did a base pull I was at 391.

Gary, What mods were done to the car between your last tune, and the base pull done by Jeff?

Not trying to start any crap, but you have me very concerned for what I have in my car now.

I'm thinking those mods you did after the last tune might of had an effect on the a/f to make it look like you were lean. If anything, I think it might prove it be prudent to re-tune after any mod done to a power adder car.

LANDY

Any mod done a power adder to make The car breathe better needs at least a check on afr, or even better a tune.

Nothing was done after the tune except 7-8 passes at SSHS..... That had to be where the det. occurred. I have driven it to Mia. once since then.
A couple WOT rips here and there but certainly not to max RPMs since SSHS.

You were there last time it was touched man.

Only change I did was add a bigger in tank fuel pump and new spark plugs right before leaving for Mo's

The only thing I can say about the base pull was I had just driven the car at highway speeds for 1/2 hour and then it got about 1/2 hour cool down before going on the rollers.

Gary, I am glad the car is the way you want it now, and everything is all good. :)

I was just curious how many mods were actually done before Jeff's base pull - (4lb lower ring, meth, fuel pump & 60lb injectors) My opinion, but any one of these mods could change the a/f. Well maybe not the lower ring, but you get the idea where I am coming from. :)

Like you, my car was just tuned before the shootout. I need to go ask some questions about my tune now...

Mike as many passes as are on your car and as much tuning time as you car has had I would hope it is sorted out well.

But, if I were in your shoes and I had questions I would ask for an objective opinion by a 2nd tuner.

Mo's is having a dyno day soon......

Jeff did the lower ring and the injectors at the shop after the base pull.
I installed the Meth kit but Jeff powered it up after the base pull.

I changed the fuel pump before I left home too but the in tank pump (at least the way I look at it) would not make any changes as it just provides more volume capability, the fuel pressure regulator would still only allow preset fuel pressure and 39 psi injectors wouldn't change unless we adjusted pulse width.
If it did change it it would make it richer if anything.

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks for clearing that up for me, Gary. I'm glad your tune got corrected, and hope there is no harm done to your engine. You've been through enough crap already my friend.

I hope you are right about my tune. I am going to inquire about how safe my tune really is. Thanks again for the heads up.
