I made a very large mistake in the posting of these tips.
I don't know what I was thinking. I underpriced them by $100
I am truly sorry
I guess I was trying to get this posted before I left for work.
I am very sorry
Flame way if you must again I am sorry
Please forgive me
Stuff happens. On a scale from 1 to 10 of mistakes made on .net, yours is probably a zero. ;)

Doesn't matter, your mistake your fault. You gave a price and if someone agreed to your price you need to honor that price.

At least you were honest about it. I probably would've said they were sold then made another ad with a new price claiming to have another set. lol

When I see a price for something that just isn't right I think:
1. It's too good to be true.
2. Must be a mistake?
We all make errors/mistakes cause we are all human and nobody is perfect.
You did good by apologizing, letting it be known, and not hiding anything.
You are forgiven!!!! Now its time to move on with more forum material.

Good Morning Sir.
You are correct in your statement, if I were Bloomingdales, or Walmart,
but I am not.
I am, like a lot of people here, just trying to make ends meet. That means
I work for a living. So I am not going to give things away unless there is
a reason for it.
I understand your concern for business ethics here. I choose to withdraw
my offering, for the reasons stated. Any one of us has the right to do this
since we are not a corporation, and bound by different rules. IE a private
citizen. My goal was to sell the tios for what I paid for them. Because I came in on this purchase late I was not privileged to join in the group buy.
I paid more than most others. Instead of trying to mislead anyone, I owned up to a mistake, which by the way was a typo, and offer apologies
to our community for my error.
That being said I fail to see where you are directly or indirectly involved in
this matter on any level, other than being a outside observer.
I dod not see your post or PM offering to purchase these parts.
I would guess you have never made a mistake, that is why you choose to
cast the first stones.
We all make mistakes from time to time, most of us wish we hadn't but
things happen. In a perfect world these thing don't happen.............
I have tried to do my best to bring this matter out in the open.
It's easy for you to make the statement you did because you are not the
seller, you would not be loosing money on this offering. It is my wallet
that will suffer not yours. I hope you understand this is a private business
matter, it is not personal.
Good day to you Sir.
Well said Russell. Just so you know, the one berating you is also the one that likes to boot members cars at events. And, thinks it's amusing, I guess it's funny till he damages someone's car having his fun, or someone cuts his boot off, or worse.....

Darren, Good Morning,
I deleted the original message because it seems to long. I guess I should have let it stand. In any case thank for your comments.
By the way did you get the pictures you asked for.
If we were at a show and he damaged my car, I would and could make a citizens
arrest and hold him for the local Police and press charges.

Spectragod, someone actually boots members cars at events as a prank? :(
Hey Russell, you made a mistake, we all have. The difference is you admitted it, publicly. I would not want to take a $100 hit on a typo if I was the seller. Conversely, I would like to be on the receiving end of a $100 typo, however, I could not hold a member to an error like that. I think it is easy for us to hold our ground if a large chain made an error like this, but, even those errors were made by another person.
I was at the booting, it was funny, and it has nothing to do with this thread.

Wow, lots of drama resulting from a simple typo.
Fix the price in the for sale post and explain there is a typo or explain nothing as you don't really need to. I have seen on other forums people post something up for sale and everyone chimes in how their price is $X lower than the normal price and they then raise the price. What's the issue?
As the seller you can ask 1 million dollars or raise it to 2 million if you want to. If someone wants it badly enough they'll pay. No apologies needed.

I was at the booting, it was funny, and it has nothing to do with this thread.
I hear someone puts grease on wiper blades too...
I'd have to put a "Honk If You're Gay!" bumper sticker on the culprit's car!
P.S. OP's a good guy and has been a great seller of parts in the past.

I put this in Russell's other thread and now here:
The first thing Russell did when he knew he made a mistake was shoot me a PM. I was after the tips for a friend of mine but that's ok. I told him all is forgiven and no worries. I've dealt with him on a previous occasion and he's a stand up guy. We all make mistakes and I'd appreciate the forgiveness in return if I had been on his end. No harm was intended and it was an honest mistake.
