Ok, so I'm technically proficient when it come to all things Chevy - but I am a Marauder owner, proudly too!

I've spent the last hour trying to string together searches for the questions I have, it's been difficult, I've actually had more luck searching google, but alas I will ask away - please refrain from blasting me about the "search" function, thanks

I have an 03 MM with 84k miles on it... The mods I've done are listed below

DR Tune
JLT Intake
410's
Full header back Magnaflow exhaust with X pipe - install by MF (they used my car to develop a kit)
A few suspension mods, and appearance mods.

Over the last month, I've noticed some "pinging" at lower speeds under mild power, I let off the gas and re-engage to bring it into a lower gear, which helps. My plugs and COPs are original, I've never done any injector cleaner and living in Kalifornia, I am limited to 91octane...

I would like to replace the COPs, Plugs, and perform fuel/injector cleaning...

Any recommendations? I am on a budget as I just shelled out $800 for new tires, thanks in advance!

Hey bud! i would prolly use NGK plugs, and Granatelli high output coil connectors heres a linky for the connectors, prolly wouldnt hurt to clean your mass airflow sensor as well, and change your fuel filter.

I would try cleaning the MAF and changing out the plugs. The cops only need to be changed if they fail and cause a misfire. Otherwise just the plugs will be fine
We're your mods done before or after your tune?

Have you considered cleaning the EGR valve?

I would load the stock tune and see what happens. DR may have an agressive ignition advance. The performance tune with some carbon build up and PCV oil residue and ERG cokeing will turn the cumbustion chambers into poo.

Drive it awhile stock, see what happens, maybe give DR a call to pull timing out if that is the problem.

Good luck.:burnout:

Unfortunately my programmer was stolen out of the car last year, F'n idiots!

I went and bought the following:

New fuel filter
New plugs (Motorcraft platinums)
Fuel additive/injector cleaner (Lucas Oil fuel treatment)
MAF cleaner

Granatelli COPs - I'm going to call tomorrow to get the full coil/boot packs they offer.... I read somewhere NOT to get their coils, anyone shed light onto this for me?
I have a connection at Granatelli's, I may be able to get a deal?

BTW - first full day with the new Cooper Zeon RS3-A's... Love them, and they look sharp! Big winter storm heading our way in SoCal this weekend, I will get to test them out.

Many folks on here get the "Granatelli connectors", and then complain about the poor quality and problems that they caused.
I do not own them, but they have a nickname (http://www.google.ca/search?q=crapatelli+site%3Amer curymarauder.net)

So Magna Flow has a full kit available for our MARAUDERs now or was it just for the mufflers?

2 1/2" stainless from the headers back - 2 high flow cats, X pipe and two shorty mufflers. Their original intention was to make a kit for this application, they are a sponsor on my Sema show truck (800+hp), and they saw that I drive a MM as my DD and offered to hook me up, so they rented me a car for two weeks and developed this kit... Again, not sure if it actually went into production, you may want to reach out and contact them directly.

I've decided not to change my COPs at this point, I will do everything else but, and if I am forced, I will go with something quality and stay away from the ganatelli's

Thanks!

D**n that is a nice exhaust setup.

Agreed if you are not having a misfire issue, i would forgo changing the cops, but more infacense on the fuel system cleaning and decarboning. Have you tried a different brand of gas?

Going to throw this out there for you. Since you say Magnaflow is a sponsor of your show truck (pics of truck required:banana:) I assume you have the required connections within Magnaflow to inquire about building and possibly asking Magnaflow if they would consider being a sponsor of MM.net. If the price of a cat back system was priced right I think they would sell a few kits here.

Just a thought on my part. Good luck with your tune-up.:)

That was their intention when they developed the kit, but as much as I pushed them they just never followed through.... Anyone can call them and ask about the kit I'm sure.
