Continental Extreme Contact.

$100 is cheap for the rears. I've heard some bad things about Continental tires. Anyone have any experience with these?
My other option is the Nitto NT555's. 235/45-18 & 265/50-18.
Looks like I'll be experiencing them as I just bought a pair of the 275's. Though they will likely end up on my CV. I've had some different Conti's and they were a good tire and at $100 ea I couldn't pass them up.

Theirs also the Cooper Zeon RS3-A ( Front 235/50 R 18 & the Rear 245/55 R 18 set up ( more member's are useing them & are Happy with them so far)
. Also Hankook Winter 1X Concept evo ( Front 235/50 R 18 & the Rear 255/55 R 18.) Also Toyo Proxes ST 11 ( front 255/45 R 18 & the rear 295/45 R 18 ). Also the Pirelli Scorpion Zero Assimmetrico have sizes that fit our cars, Check out their sizes. If you just want to up grade the rear size the Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport 285/50 R18 will work. Also the Nitto 555's .

Please note : The Nitto NT 404 Extreme 285/50 R 18 is still on the market. But Nitto discontinued them 4 1/2 years ago ( as per Nitto ). They were a excellent tire back then , not a really good idea to buy them because of their age.

One concern I have is the slighly smaller diameters. I like the look of the OEM tires. Not sure if I'll like seeing more gap between the tire and the wheel openings. I know I'll like the wider tires with better grip.

They are a ALL Season Radial with a thicker thread wear than the OEM's, they look nice on the car, they grip nice, and they ride better then the OEM's. The fronts would run about $173 each & the rears $187 each at discount tire. ($620.00). Keep in mind that the Nitto's 555's are a *Summer* High Performance tire. The Continentals Extreme Contact Have mixed reviews & cost more than the Coopers. Their are some posts here on the Coopers .

I am running the Continental ExtremeContact DWS on the front of mine and love them. Ride comfort is improved with no detected reduction in handling.

I have a 2nd set of wheels with Bridgestone Blizzaks for the winter, so I'm good with the summer only tires. I typically run several Auto Cross events each year and I want the best grip I can get.

I went with stock size. I was tempted to go wider but I drive 100 miles a day in all weather so I wanted the better MPG and hydroplaning resistance of the narrower tire.

What do you guys think about the 275/45-18 on all four corners? Is a 275 too wide for the front?

You can fit a 275 without issue on the front with the proper offset. I believe the One Lap CVPI ran 285's all around on 18x9 BBS Wheels.
