I'm having a problem with p153 and p133 that keep coming on
I have just changed from stock headers to Kooks LTH and a diablo tune.
However but I have mistakenly been putting 91 octane. so I put some octane boost in but it came back again will run this tank out and fill with 93. the tune is for 93 octane.
I'm thinking about cutting the Bungs lower so the O2 sensor sit lower then be in the exhaust gas flow.
the bungs on the Kooks are extremely tall compared to the stock pipes
What are your thoughts ????????????????? ____

Well I ran the 91 octane out and put in 93 sunoco made a 130 round trip from Danbury ct to JFK air port in NYC put the car in the garage and the next day started it up and the code lg ht went off
could it be the gas ?????? we'll see

Both are related to the O2 sensors. Are they all installed? Damaged? Is the car tuned?

This is just a canned Diablo tune?
Sounds like you need to call Jeff @ Mo's,

These are 02 codes.
I would look at your wiring and 02 sensor locations.
I am also willing to bet that we could do better for your car with one of our canned tunes that Diablo can.

unbelievable after the last run round trip to NYC about 120 mile the light came back on I was at a half a tank of 93.
I went and filled up the next thing I know the light goes off
well that tells me that the electrical system is working ( I think)
this is baffling put we will find out what is going on.

so I put some octane boost inDon't bother. Do a little research and you'll find OTC octane boost is worthless. When they say it raises the octane rating by 4 to 7 "points", they are talking about TENTHs of an octane. IOW, a bottle will raise 91 octane fuel to between 91.4 and 91.7.
Plus, it cruds up the plugs...

I've run two tanks of 93 since then
thanks for the info
I would have to had put a case of it in

Have you tried replacing the sensors? That would be my first thing if they are reacting slow. Maybe there was some crap in the exhaust that fouled em up.

Keep in mind that he did LTs, so he moved the location of the O2s.
I am willing to bet that this could be a two fold problem.
The 02s are tired and there is a tune related/solveable problem.

I put in new O2's

We still think it the bungs that hold the O2's they are extremely tall over the stock

Are you sure you put the upstream plugs in the upstream bungs? Also what brand O2 sensors did you install?

That can be adjusted in the tune.
I am still not sure, are you using a canned tune or is your guy doing a tune for "your" car?

True dat!
The O2's I don't think have to be in the air stream. As some people use spark plug anti foulers on widebands so they don't over heat.

We spoke to Jeff at Mo's this Morning thanks for the in put.
we may have to go to a SCT tuner to be able to fine tune the O2.
But for now we are going to move the O2 sensor a little down stream from the original kooks lth location.
first we moved the bank 1 sensor to a new down steam location and plugged the old location leaving the bank 2 sensor in the kooks original position I then ran the car for 20+ miles and the code light came on we check the code and it is P153 bank 2 slow to respond .a good sign we hope. I then ran the MM on a short trip about 60 miles the light is still on I'm going to let it cool down tonight and tomorrow I'll run it to the shop and read the codes? Hoping that it still will read P153 Bank 2 slow to respond.
