Hey Mo! I need some brotherly advice about what it takes to restore/build a car.

69 Buick Sport Wagon with 350ci runs and everything works except lighter. Transform into a GS. I have more pictures.

Can we talk?

Buy that thing, when I was a kid we had an Olds Vista Cruiser, coolest thing in the world to ride in the back seat. I have noticed those cars for 30 years and have never seen the Buick version, gotta be scarce.

I love those 60's Vista Cruisers too!

I had a 1976 Olds Custom Cruiser wagon. It was great!

I've been "restoring" my 64 Galaxie since the late 70's. After owning her ten years, it was either put money into it, or junk it.

It is a never ending scenario, but it can be a lot of fun.

I'm now driving a car with over 214,000 miles on the body, I put a new motor in last year, and now I'm getting new upholstry installed.

Just never ends.

But, having July 4th parade watchers applaude your car, or putting her into a carshow and walking off to watch from a distance as people gather around and make comments.............makes it all worth while.

Dave,

Holler at me on Monday. The shop is closed on Mondays but Jeff and I will be together (tuning a customer car for some serious spraying and some work on my yellow mod motor Fox), so it will be a good day to catch us.

Reach me on my cell at (914) 582-6262.

And for the record, the wagon is killer!!! Did you get some under hood and interior shots?

No under the hood and interior in the back. No 3rd seat. Has a hatch for storage. I like that better than the fold down seat.

We had an olds vista cruiser as a kid. Always sat in back seat facing backwards with back window open a crack. Always got car sick.

Looks solid!

How are they on the price? Wagons are hot right now and some of the sellers know that. :(

Building this type of car has been a dream of mine for several years and seeing this one at a lot near my home got me thinking. But after looking at some of the intial costs and looking at our famlies six year plan, this would just not fit with our finances.

The car is in great shape and is the perect car as far as I can see. It is clean and looks like most if not all its parts and components are intact.

The guy is asking $7500 OBO - As of two days ago it was still on the lot for sale in Roswell Georgia.

After speaking to Bryan Jones the other day you are looking at $1000 to pull the engine, give it a good once over, clean the engine bay and paint it (Engine Bay only), check all the other underside components and put it all back together.

This is if you don't find anything wrong.

Then starting to do other projects as I could afford them to turn it into a GS, like paint, hood, buckets and such.

I can see it and have seen me driving the car, but can't afford it.

Thanks Marty for your help too. I look forward to seeing you at the shop soon. I need to get out there for a new tune and see why I'm buring up CAT's. I've burned up 3 on one side and 2 on the other.

That wagon is cleannnnnn. I have a 69 convertible skylark that i had to find parts for, and man those parts are hard to find and once you find them they are pricey.
