Hey all, haven't posted in a while, been busy with work. Well I was thinking about it, and I only drove my car maybe 4K miles last year. Looks like this year will be no different for me, so it's time to sell.
I am the second owner of this car, but I may be listed as the third (explanation to follow). This car was built buy VT engines and featured in Motor Trend in Sept. 03. I think the article is still online, if not I have a copy of the magazine. Anyway basically it was the first and only one they built, the owner decided to sell the company, and he did not sell the car in the deal. SO if the car was titled to the company, and then to the old owner when he sold the company, I imagine it would show as a 3 owner car, however it's really just me and Lance the old owner of VT.

I've improved just about everything on the car in the time I've had it. When Motor Trend tested it they couldn't get to to go very well and I think it ran low 13s or something.
First time I took it to the track on all seasons I ran a 12.9 with it, and then improved from there.

My best time in the car is an 11.75 @ 120mph I believe (shows how long it's been since I updated my sig). That was on ET Streets 2010, it might actually be faster now.
My best street tire time is 12.20 @ 121mph I think it was. This was also in 2010 when I drove out to the track and forgot my wheel lock key at home :shake:

The car is in great shape as cars go, and for a 2003 is probably in amazing shape. The interior is still almost perfect, but the paint is not 100%. It's pretty good, as I do try to keep it up, but being an 03 it can be a hard fight. Mostly the hood, in the upper corner on the drivers side, there are some little spots the size and shape of a pencil eraser where the evidence of a problem with the paint from factory is starting to pop up. Only other thing I can think of is that in 2006 or so a lady hit it in a parking lot, and the front bumper and driver's marker light had to be replaced.

Apart from that, the car is silly fast, and similar to what Clarkson has said about his CLK Black. You better have it going straight when you try to get on it, or it will bite you.

It hasn't been on a Dyno in a LONG time, not since it ran a 12.9@110mph
That being said, the best I can do is estimate the power. I would say based on it making 440whp when it ran 110mph in the 1/4mile, it currently has around 540-560whp. Possibly more since I've done a few mods since it was last at the track.

+1, I like to keep my miles at 4-6 K per year.
It's just that these events are so far from me I seem to be staying at around 8K per year.

Thanks for the complements folks, looking for some fresh blood. Things like this happen to me from time to time. When I'm busy, after a while, I just stop driving or using something much and need a change to get going again. Maybe something like a CTS-V or Z06 would be enough of a change to get me going to shows and track days after work like I did when I was first trying to make power with the marauder. Or maybe another bike or something.

I don't have anymore track vids though sorry, I haven't raced in quite a long time at this point.

1. The power is really an estimate based on the MPH in the 1/4 since it hasn't been on the dyno since it made 440whp and ran 110mph in the 1/4. I think in the add I go through everything that happens and how the times progressed.
That said, basically the Long Tubes, 3" exhaust, added boost from the pulley swap, and re doing the tune resulted in the MPH it ran last, and the power numbers are just my guess based on the MPH.

Yes it's one of 3 vehicles I drive as my "daily" driver. But really for the past few years that really means when I go somewhere on the weekend. I live 3 miles from work so I walk/bus/bike 99% of the time. On the rare occasion when I do drive it in the winter if it's salty out I do make it a point to wash the car down. So no on the rust, other than the typical surface rust on the rear end, there's no body or frame rust on the car.

I posted about it somewhere, but I can't remember where. It has been at least a couple years since I did the change. After thinking about doing it for a bit it was just a matter of getting some parts together. The actual shift knob I don't quite remember where I picked it up. The boot is just a 2010+ mustang boot. For the OD button, that was just a matter of using google to find a nice aluminium button.

Maybe a search for "shifter knob" or something would bring up my old posts.
