1. Enter the factory-set code (keypad will illuminate when pressed).
2. Press the 1/2 control within five
seconds of step 1.
3. Enter your personal 5 digit code.
Enter each digit within five seconds
of the previous one.
All of the vehicle doors will lock and unlock to confirm programming of
the new code.
Do not set a code that includes five of the same number or presents
them in sequential order. Thieves can easily figure out these types of
codes.
You can program up to three personal codes to unlock your vehicle.
These codes do not replace the permanent code that the dealership gave
you.

Gonna have to try this on the Grand Marquis! I'd love nothing more than to have them match.

If you know my bank card PIN, or my wife's birthday, or any of my other numeric passwords, you can take my car.

My stickers were still in the owners manual USUALLY they get stuck to the trunk hinge..

I put mine in a tactical location since every dumass knows where the sticker usually goes..

And you can ADD numbers but the original cannot be deleted unless you replace the drivers door module

Pm me with your email and I'll send you the PDF for both years.

How do you find your keypad code not in the book when I bought the car or on trunk panel like my Lincoln's

Mine didn't have any of the usual stickers either. You can either take it to Ford and pay @$50 for them to pull the code and wait about an hour or pull your door panel. There will be a sticker on a little black box. Can't remember what the box is, someone will chime in on that I'm sure. There are threads on how to carefully remove the door panel. It's pretty easy, just have to be careful...

Don't know or don't have the code?

Pull the drivers door panel off. Sticker will be on the module. Free just requires 5-10mins of work.

Want to change the code then use my steps THEN follow mossiehorn steps

JUST BE CAREFUL TAKING THE DOOR PANEL OFF! THOSE WINDOW SWITCH COVERS ARE LIKE WET PAPER AND WILL BREAK! Sorry for the all caps but i was enraged when mine cracked....

Anybody know how to get a second (or third) user code for the door programmed in? I followed the instructions on page 83 of the owners manual, but it only remembers the last of the two codes I tried to program in. Manual says it can store up to three, but mine only seems to keep the last one . . .

I have never been able to get any of them to take more than one alternate code. I think this is a typo or something that was a prior year feature de-contented by 2003.
