My Wife and Daughter were out in Steamboat Springs, CO last week for a family get-together. I wasn't able to attend........somebody has to work so they go on these trips
My daughter calls me and said they saw a convertible Marauder. The only one I recalled was the famous concept vehicle that supposedly is not street legal. She said she took a few photos and would forward to me.
I got the photos this morning and it looks to me like a vinyl top that has that convertible appearance.
Anybody know this car? It doesn't look bad.

Doesn't look like the MM factory rear spoiler.

There was a guy that had one of these in GVL a couple years ago, he had his tricked up with SS panels on the lower door sections (below the trim strip).
Looked different, to say the least... ;)

needs the oem spoiler and it might actually look good at the right angle
I actually think it looks okay except for the entirely too small back tires.

Maybe a Marauder clone of a Grand Marquis that had the vinyl top already?

Nah, too much Marauder stuff on it. Door handles, pipes, grill, etc. etc.

The only thing as ugly as a car with a fake convertable top is a real convertable with the top up... :puke:
Never understood the mindset to do fake ragtop... :shake:
Oh well, takes all kinds! The world would indeed be a dull place if we all liked the same...

And yet, back in the mid 60's/70's, it was the rage even among the street racing crew.
I think even the 67 Stingrays had a vinyl top option on the removable hardtop, although not a lot were sold.
I'm not sure if the 65 had the v/top as an option; anyway, I didn't have a vinyl top on my 65 Vette.
