Well as everyone saw at our CAM meet at Red Brick Station this stuff is by far the best shine for your money. It's dries to touch. I'll get a picture of my tires shortly but all that we're there will vouch for it. Turtle Wax black tire coat....It puts a layer or clear coating that last a few months on your tire. Maybe longer depending in how much you drive your MM. http://img.tapatalk.com/45899d02-6445-fba4.jpg

oh man if you say its as good as you say it is, im buying some right away!
I have been using meguiars hot foam and i like it, last quite a while. The hot foam does a GREAT job on the engine bay as well for a quick detail, as long as you dont go crazy with it.

I used hot foam for years and liked it, then moved to stoners and really like it, but will keep an eye out for this as well!

NO SPIN OFF!!!! This stuff is dry to touch. You have to let it cure for a few hours. Once the tires get dirty just hose them off like a regular wash.

Exactly what DOOM said. Regular gel tire shine can collect flies. This stuff is DRY once it cures. Just buy a can spray it all over ur legs and take a walk in the summer and see how man flies stick to ya lol.

Armor all helps keep the rubber from drying out. This is just saran-wrap in a can. I wonder... It does look good.

I bought it today and Im getting ready to wash my car now.... I will let you know my humble opinionwell, it is very shiny... the downfall I see so far is it an aerosol so if you spray it on the tires you get overspray on rims and paint. I ended up having to use quik detailer to get the overspray cleaned up. The next time im going to spray it on an applicator and see how it works that way.

A bit to much shine IMO. I like meguiars endurance tire gel use with applicator pad. Looks a bit more rich then a brand new tire. Or use 2 coats for that wet look and it last weeks

Chemicals in Armor All will dry the tires out. Silicone spray is the best for tires as it retains some of the silicone and will less likely dry rot.

The next time im going to spray it on an applicator and see how it works that way.I drove the car today for about 15 miles parked it for a few hours and came out and there was dirt sticking to the sides... I will admit that it is really shiny and would be good at a car show for dilplay but between the paint and rim overspray and the dirt sticking I will be going back to my old stuff.

There tires I mean they are and will get dirty. Dirt sticks to every tire wet, dressing and shine I have ever used.

I use Detailers Pride Gloss Tire Gel from Autogeek .net and don't have that problem at all. The trade off is it is less glossy than the Turtle wax.

You know, that stuff looks great. Last time I did my tires I rednecked it because I ran out of stuff so I decided to try something else. Cooking oil! It works pretty good. I know it sounds kind of stupid but the stuff is real thick, it doesn't evaporate and it's cheap.

One of my school bus drivers came in today and had coated his bus tires with that stuff. I forgot to ask how many bottles he used!

I detailed the hell out of my Marauder the past 2 days for our yearly picnic and I purchased a can of it and put it on yesterday. It's dry to the touch after almost 24 hrs. I also think it's nice for the Car shows but for everyday I wouldnt use it.

Try taking it off the tires after 3 or 4 days of it being on. I tryed one tire first with simple green and it did nothing, then with dish fluid also did nothing. It's still on their. O- well I'm not useing it again.

My understanding is the OLD formula of Armor All contained formaldehyde and petroleum. I can verify that back in the day I had new tires dry rot with low mileage on them and back then I used Armor All exclusively. I also had dashes crack on a steady diet of Armor All.
I stopped using it years ago.
I think that by now they would have had to re-formulate or go out of business.
Most Likely they are now VOC compliant.
Once a story gets started it's hard to shake.
That's why so many people won't set a car/boat battery on concrete. Years ago it was a problem, not anymore but most people still set their batteries on a block of wood so it doesn't discharge. Even though it won't.
I just prefer other products. Myself it's Pinnacle - Black Onyx.
I use the white Croftgate spray that I bought from Russ at our Marauderville carwash event in Charlotte. Works like a champ. Spray on, wipe off, admire the shine while sipping a PBR. Holds for days.

Were there hungry ants crawling all over them :food:. I actually wonder if ants are attracked to cooking oil? hmmm :hmmm:
BTW, You sir get the REDNECK AWARD for the day.

Try taking it off if you dont like it . It took me 3 1/2 hours with Brake cleaner sprayed on a rag ( nothing else would work ) a scrub brush and a 1600 PSI pressure washer to get the stuff off. Then after that I had to polish the rims over again and wash the car afterwards. I will never again use that product.

Works fine for me! My car is not a daily driver so it's perfect for what I need

The guys who purchased it and didn't like it vs the people who got it and loved it is is far greater. Everything will never be for everybody. If you like a lot of tire shine this stuff is for you. If your more conservative and prefer a matte finish or dull look don't waste your time b/c this is the TIRE SHINE TO END ALL! Not matte finish shine or lack luster shine.
