Things have been interesting for me,the past winter's been a real wake up call about how really miserable the company I've worked at for the 19 years has become.
That said I've decided to retire this year in the next few months, better to retire for a little less money than to let the stress and other stuff kill me.
It looks like I'll most likely be leaving sweet home Chicago and all the assinine laws in the city and state.
Prescott,AZ. is looking like where I'll go.
And there's a fair chance there'll be another DTR in my life soon. :coolman:

That's great news Lar. I agree. Better to be living and happy with less stress than working, being miserable and possibly and not happy.

Good luck in AZ and I hope you find that DTR soon. And you will be that much closer to Hawaii.

I have relatives in Arizona and it is a nice state. I am planning to retire early myself, April 30th is my last day. I think I will be okay but only time will tell. Good luck in your retirement!

I've got my love of photography & taking pics of flowers, critters, landscapes and buildings, car and bike shows and some good video & digital cameras and tripods and my Harley to help keep me busy exploring and documenting everything interesting, beautiful, and even weird I see.
Plus I'm gonna get me a fishing pole and get some quality time in relaxing drowning worms and maybe even catching myself a meal or two along the way like I did way way back when I was a kid out in the country.
Guspech,my friend and faithful keeper of the DTR here in the Windy City Marauders keep that DTR looking good, somebody has to show everyone what the prettiest MM color is.
Dark Jedi, keep on keeping on brother.
Sanco, you're gaining on my record for the number of different cars owned and you're a good guy and been a good friend.
chapel1,we go way back to the early days of mm.net and the Windy City Marauders, along with a bunch of others, too many for me to list here right at this moment but never the less not forgotten.
I'll miss you guys and the meets and the stunts we all pulled at one time or another.
justbob,I'm gonna leave the hot dog eating up to you,I know you'll continue in fine tradition.
Takedown, you've been a good friend and I've enjoyed being friends with you and being invited over for your fantastic cookouts and meeting your family.
I'll miss my good friend Dom a lot.I don't care what anybody says,he was a true Mercury Marauder.net'er and drove his MM like no one else, come hell or high water and was always a true friend to me with as good a heart as anyone I've known in my life.
If you know anyone looking to buy a good CV P71 I've got mine for sale on crownvic.net

Uncle Lar congrats my friend. Glad you are going to get out of the rat race. Think of us everyone now and then. Will always remember the Chicken runs and the infamous pole that almost caught a couple of guys when they were leaving-Ha Ha Ha.

Congrats on your retirement.

Oh heck,I'll never forget you guys, the insanity and the old times when being a a member of mm.net and the Windy city Marauders was so much about the cars and helping one another out.
I remember Sgt Mac selling off his first MM cheap at CarMax to get the first Kenny Brown MM and spending big $$$ building it more and throwing the keys to anyone who wanted to take it for a ride. I never drove it cause at the time I didn't have a MM to give him if I wrecked his yet he asked me repeatedly if I'd like to drive it.
Oh yeah, the Chicken Runs, back before that palce became the Tomaine Poisoning Palace. I thought up the idea of going there for the last one when I got my DTR and it was sort of a disaster because of the dump Dell Rhea's had become. I ended up sick from eating there.I should've left with Zack and everybody else.
If I get out there and get another DTR there's gonna be a chapter hearing from me.
I just hope we can get back the spirit of what began this site and made it so great and drop the attitude of certain guys that are seeing how much they can make from others by hoarding parts and selling them so darn high.
Go back and look at the threads and forums way back in the first few years and see what I mean.
And maybe allowing others back here who were banned for "political" reasons, a lot of good guys who contributed a lot to the site were banned over the years.
That may get me banned or suspended for a while but I needed to say it.
