Hi everybody! So in a few weeks myself, the missus and the freshly painted black Marauder will be moving to (or somewhere near to) Windsor VA.
So what's going in in the area for Marauders?
Any info would be appreciated. I've just logged back in, not been on in a while so any news is news to me!
Thanks,
Simon.

The short answer is NOT MUCH. Although there are several MMs in the Tidewater area (Norfolk, Chesapeake, Virginia Beach) and Suffolk-Hampton area, they have not been too active in getting together from what I have seen over the years. Maybe you can prompt some local gatherings in that area.
You are about 160 miles (2.5-3 hours) south of the southern fringe of the Capital Area Marauder (CAM) group. You are welcome to join us anytime if you are up for a long cruise up to our area. We'll be planning several get-togethers during 2012. Next one is 29 April in Mechanicsville, MD at Bert's 50s Diner. You'll have to leave your place around 9:00-9:30 AM to meet up with us at 1:00 PM. Maybe a little less time in an MM.
You are also about 300 miles (5+ hours) south of Carlisle, PA. The big Annual "All FORDs Weekend" is 1-3 June this year. Lots of MMs come to this each year from a fairly large area, too.

Thanks for the welcome folks!
I actually have spent most of my time on the east coast.
History;
Jax Florida for 3 years
McKinney Dallas for 1 year
Fort Myers Florida for 3 years
Salinas California for 7 months
Now moving to VA.
I don't like to get bored..!
Well at least I have a couple of distant options. I know about some MM owners not really caring about getting together. A few weeks ago I was driving my fresh painted MM in Miami. Up behind me came another black MM. I got excited, waved as they drove past. This old guy never even looked at me or acknowledged, continued driving past. I fell in behind him so at least we had a few minutes cruise time. He started swapping lanes, I just let him go. Pity not everybody loves the car and sees the fun in cruising together.
I will have to see who I spot in the area, and I'll also save the details you guys have given me.
Thanks!
Simon.
