I just went to the Reinhart Performance website and it's shut down!

Does anybody in Jacksonville FL know if the place is still open? I'm going to call when I get off work.

Si.

On a side note simon you should swing by the Pleasanton Red Robin GTG 4pm today only an hour or so away from Salinas. Before you depart for VA. Should have about 8-10 Marauders.

I purchased a rear skid plate from him about 5 yrs ago. Was a simple sale and I still have it. No problems but.....

Ever since reading posts from MM.net regarding DR, I have decided to purchase from other vendors.

I want to thank all of you for your recent e-mails phone calls and concerns about my website, I along with five other businesses here in Jacksonville Florida area were robbed by a trio that all toll had visited 20 businesses throughout the Jacksonville Florida Orange Park area they stole my checkbook along with five other repair facilities checkbooks and then proceeded to start cashing checks at Wal-Mart’s throughout the state of Florida and Georgia since Wal-Mart cashiers don’t even ID most time or even look at if it is handed to them the crooks cash checks with no signature required yes you can read that again when you go into Wal-Mart and you present them a personal check they do not look at the signature line, you hand them the check they run it through a TRW verifying machine that immediately debits your checking account then they hand you back the check as your receipt. A police report was filled out I even called Channel 4 news and they actually came out and did an interview of me on first Coast news that's how I came to find out that they had visited 20 other shops earlier. I cannot tell you how difficult the last three months have been I could not cash any business checks because they were locked out through TRW because the account was flagged as fraud so we had to cancel all our checking accounts with the bank that we have done business with for over 25 years we had to cancel all the credit cards associated to that bank and then we have to contact every body that was using our credit cards to pay our bills with and one of those companies is the site that hosts my website and that is the reason why it's down is because the debit card they had on file is no longer valid, that has been taken care of and the site will be up and running next week. And we are improving it, and it will have a projects page so again this is addressed to the members that have asked, and I do appreciate their concern and I'm sorry for the delay in any orders that may have been brought about because of this but I can assure you that I am open and were fixing all the issues that have taken place over the last three months.

Respectfully

Dennis Reinhart

Dennis related to me this AM that his site is being revised and will have a projects feature. Something he's been working on for a while.

Dennis, I'm truly sorry this happened to you. I know it's not the first time, either. I hope you get things back on track soon.

Well hope it all works out as Reinhart is the only source at the moment for a CARB approved power adder in Cali. Plus a local member is patiently waiting his Vortech KIT so to hear he is still operating is a good thing.

More Auto Shop Owners Recognize Suspected Thieves

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- After First Coast News showed surveillance video of three suspected thieves targeting Reinhart Automotive, other shop owners have come forward and said the group also targeted them.

"My phone was lit up all day long," Dennis Reinhart said.

His competition, other owners, called to compare stories of their encounters with the group suspected of stealing checks from small business owners. Reinhart said the stories he heard were "the exact same scenario" he'd experienced.

We called 15 auto repair shops. All the owners said they'd had run-ins with this trio in their own shops.

Sherby Powell of Reflections Paint and Auto Body knew something was up when this group came into his shop. "When I was working with the one, when I wasn't looking, he was just looking around the place," Powell said. They were unable to steal from Powell because he had one of his employees guard the office.

Two weeks ago, Sam Crist of Sam's Automotive said the minute the three stepped foot on his property, he knew something wasn't right. "They came in my front office. They came in the other door, and they also tried to get in my wife's back office," Crist said.

Now, local shop owners are on alert, learning from Reinhart's experience with the band of thieves. "It made a lot of us shops a little smarter about how we handle our personal stuff laying around, too. I think it's been a good recheck for everybody," Crist said.

Mary Justino from the Clay County Sheriff's Office said one of their top white collar crime detectives worked on this case for most of the day Thursday. She said he asked JSO if they're investigating any similar cases. First Coast News checked in with JSO

Thank's Bob and Billy, two of the three have been caught, and are awaiting trial, on multiple robberies.
