i already have a jmod done and wanted to play with the line pressures (Shift pressures) on my sct tuner what is the pro and cons of raising and lower the PSI and what does raising it do? and what does lowering it do? thanks

PM 03mmmonroe, he just had his trans rebuilt and he can give you some good insight into the effects of high line pressures.

+1 on letting the pros do it.
It is possible to f :censor: up/destroy your trans if too much line pressure.

Adjust away. The adjustment range on a handheld tuner is safe. Try going plus and minus and find what you like best.

+1 I've had a Jmod with no springs for three years and 40,000 miles behind a blower with the line pressure at max. Not a single issue and I am quite hard on her.

Keep the trans fluid clean & monitor the trans temps heat is the killer.

yea i dont think i need a pro to guide me through this just wondering what ppl are running for line psi on thier sct tuner, and im not looking to max out the line psi the car already chirps 1-2 and 2-3 if im on it good.

I used Zacks trans schedule as a base line and modified from there based on my setup. I actually had it dyno tuned and my tuner left those parameters open for me to modify as needed. Its almost OEM like now until you mash the throttle.
