At slow speeds and tight turning radius (ie; fast food drive through) i hear a clicking noise while the wheel is turned fully to the left or right.... and sometimes a clunk noise..... the steering is still smooth before and afterwards its just while turning it makes the noises.
Just trying to get an idea of what it is before i take it to the stealership and they tell me I need a whole new front end for like $2k

Sounds like ball joints.

Mine just started popping today when I turn all the way to the right. So is this the upper ball join everyone speaking of or the bottom?

Generally the lower ball joint goes first, but it *could* be either.
It's easy to check...jack up the wheel by the lower control arm (NOT the frame). When it's off the ground by an inch or so, put a pry-bar under the tire and pull up. If there's any play or clunking, the lower ball joint is bad.
