I have a little over 29K on my car, and I'm due for an oil change, so I figured I'd go in and get a few extra things done.
Oil change
Transmission fluid and filter change
Fuel filter change

The service rep I've always worked with says that the tranny service is a good idea, but he wouldn't worry about the fuel filter until 60K.
He also says that he recommends a fuel injector cleaning.

What do you think? Forget about the fuel filter? Get the injectors cleaned? Add a new pine tree deodorizer to the rear view mirror?

Naw, forget the Pinetree.

Down at the local strip, they sell "Nitro Methane" scent air freshners. That's the ticket!! I love the smell of NitroMethane in the morning!

Get the Fuel Filter changed with the fuel injector cleaner added for peace of mind, the more preventive maintenance you do, the better the Marauder will respond, the Service Rep can recommend but it's what the customer wants.

Oil change intervals for the engine are either 3000 or 5000 miles, depending on your driving habits, but I change mine every 2500 miles religiously for longevity. Thanks. :D

Have them drain and flush you brake fluid. That stuff breaks down too!

I'm gonna have it done at my 12K service.

very good advice my friend, any good hydraulic mech. knows fluid does three things:
transfers force
lubricates parts
DISSIPATES HEAT!
when it cools it creates moisture and that is detrimental to how it performs the other two functions
i have always been aware of drain and change brake fluid usually every 24 months,
i just hate sticky calipers

Ross, I believe your service manager has it bass-ackwards...the owner's maintenance guide specifies changing the fuel filter at 30,000 mile intervals...and if you've been using a quality fuel, you shouldn't NEED an injector cleaning this soon... :shake: ...throw a bottle of Techron in the tank once in a while and you'll NEVER need an injector cleaning...

Don't forget the following at 30,000 miles:

1) Enigine oil and filter (every 2,500 miles)
2) Air filter
3) Trany oil and filter
4) Fuel filter
5) Rear end oil change
6) Power steering oil replaced
7) Brake fluid flush
8) Wiper blades
9) Inspect and rotate tires
10) Flush coolant system (if green antifreeze)
11) Check Battery and clean battery posts
12) Oh yes, don't forget the burn-out in dealer lot!

Take care of her and she will take care of you!

Just my 2 cents.
