View Full Version : Do any original owners remember. . .
Hi, I'm just getting back into a Marauder after 4 years away.
Wish I would have never let the first one go but I got lucky and found one with less miles than the one I traded in '08.
I picked up a SB with just 24K miles. :D
I was wondering if any original owners remember when they first got their car if there was a tiny square white sticker on the outside lip of each wheel? I'm thinking there were on my original '04. Just asking because my latest Marauder had them, although not white anymore, just a gummy dark residue. I'm guessing the previous owner never detailed the wheels. Just curious. Thanks for looking. Glad to be back!

Don't recall a sticker on the wheel. Got a pic?

Dude, I don't remember what I did to my car last FALL, nevermind whether the wheels had little stickers 10+ years ago...
BTW, welcome back to the collective. :D

Lucky Dog! Wish I could've found one with that low mileage...of course, I probably couldn't have afforded it anyway.
Welcome back....to prove you're a true Marauder owner, you will need to attend the regional meet in Louisville, KY. Don't worry, you still have 11 or 12 days to plan for it....j/k.
As long as you can make it for MV10, that will prove your worthiness. (NOT a j/k!)
Happy motoring!
EDIT: Forgot to mention...get in touch with fastblackmerc...check out the Marauder Innovations section. Read my sig block and you'll see why.

Thinking about it, it seems like there was a little oval sticker on each one. I do kinda remember something very small on each wheel When it was getting unloaded from transport truck. Actually they were tiny little flourescent green stickers, There purpose was something to do with quality control.

Thanks BODYMAN!!! For a minute thought I was going crazy remembering that, I must not remember the color correctly. I do remember how happy I was to have finally get a great modern musclecar.
Thanks for the welcome backs and to all who replied so far.

Those were the Marauders with the defective rims and tires. Just like the heads with the blue dot.

Actually the sticker was fluorescent green when new. Over time they fade out to white. Oh and hi everyone!

Believe it or not in your backyard. . .kinda.
I set up an email alert with CarMax to notify me of low mileage MM's.
Back in February I was alerted that a MM like I was looking for was at a Columbia, SC CarMax store. It would pop up on their site, disappear and show up again a few days later. Each time I contacted people here in KC to get it and they said the car was unavailable. I finally called the store in Columbia, same story. They explained when a vehicle goes on a test drive or is transferred to another store it comes down off the website. So I kept looking. A few days later another alert. . .same car, this time in NC. Within minutes of receiving the alert I was on the phone and had it transferred here to look at. Lucky me. :D
