Well here we go again. After cooking Trilogy 005 I decided to break into the 2.3 Whipple. Here are a few picts from the past few days. I hope to be back up and running this week. I want to send out a big THANKS to Todd (Bodyman) and Chris (Blown 3.8) for all your help and the picts you sent. Also thanks to Marty, Jeff, Brandon, and Jimbo at Mo's Speed shop. I hope that we can post up some numbers in the next few days.

Well it's gotta be mean cause you are gonna destroy other cars

Hemi Hunter is already taken

Whipped would be interesting because of the s/c, but might make you sound weak because of the alternative meaning

I might have to think about this awhile, but you're going to have a heck of a beast

We weren't exactly sure what caused the failure but the barings did turn loose and the rotors rubbed the inside of the case. Here's the video below and you can hear after the WOT. It made a good pull at 493RWHP. I figured it must have been on it's last leg. I'm just glad it did it on the dyno and not on the highway somewhere. Things happen and I understood that going into it. No worries on my end.

I hope to have more picts later in the week. I had to wait for 3 weeks on Whipple to build the sucker. I checked with a few different places but I ordered through FordRacing123.com at the best price. Everyone I spoke to would have it drop shipped from Whipple direct. I even called Whipple and they said ordering from them put it out 3 weeks. I can't wait to see the finished product. We'll see what numbers she puts down. I'd like to go the 2.9 eventually but figured I would start here for now to have a good platform to build on.

There has been a member contact me about buying it to rebuild. I'm gonna let the blower, mounting plate, and inlet piping go to him. I'll let him post up once he decides to move. I'll have to say, Chris did a great job polishing it and powder coating the letters on it. It looks great.

I would have rebuilt but going after the power I want I would def be overdriving the Trilogy. I'm glad this guy wants to rebuild 005. It's a great looking kit for sure. I almost went with the TS set up that Jerry made before but after looking at the cost to do it with a Lysolm blower at 2k and the parts from Jerry at north of 2k more, and a new snout at 500.00, the Whipple was a more economical way. I hate to part with it but I needed to move on.

I picked the car up last Thursday from Marty's and drove it straight to Louisville. It ran like a champ the entire time! As of right now it is sitting at 535 RWHP and 525 RWTQ. Jeff tuned it on Wed evening and wanted to do some more pulls Thursday morning. We both had a revelation and thought about the gas being 3 months old. So we did not do any more pulls with that full tank of gas. I took a few notes, at his request, and over the next few weeks we will do some more pulls. I am going to 3" exhaust all the way back and going to get a new tensioner. Other than that we are rolling and the car is a beast! I had a lot of fun in Louisville and the 6 hour trip each direction went without a glitch.

I'll stop by one day and we'll take her for a spin! :burnout: Give me a week or so. Maybe you could make one of our breakfast events on the 3rd Sat of each month. It's just up the road from the shop. :D

Do don't think I'd get "mugged" when I pull in the lot with my GMC truck do you?.. I might try and get up there next month.

Naw...........I drive my GMC up there all the time. When I get in late on Fridays, its tough trying to dig the Marauder out.
