0-30 MPH gradual exceleration is nice and smooth, but when I hit 30-60 and try to gently accelerate and massage the gas the car gets jerky and bucks midly, but it doesnt feel like slipping or power loss. If I get on it hard it doesn't do this, just when I try to drive really "smooth" I just did the tranny fluid and filter and all looked good upon inspection. Could this be caused by something else? Clogged injectors? Bag plugs? Thanks for any and all input

Are you sure this isn't just the infamous trans hunting from the stock tune?

When I was doing the research on this site that was the best answer I could find, but none of my other panther platform cars ever did it

Was the problem there before you changed the fluid?

...and did you do a complete fluid exchange or just drop the pan?

Maybe plugs or coils

Yeah it was, I drained all the fluid and replaced both filter and fluid.

Did you use Mercon V?

If the problem is the infamous torque converter clutch shudder caused by degraded fluid, and if you only did a pan drop, it can take some driving time before the symptoms abate.

Thats converter shudder. Did you do a full flush or just a pan drop? Like Bob said, it may take a little while for the new fluid to work itself out. Also check the fluid for bubbles to make sure you don't have a filter sucking air.

I've had the same thing on my 04. It's definetely not TC shudder. It only does it during light acceleration at low engine speeds. Haven't figured it out yet. I just have my wife driving the car - she'll break it eventually!

I've got a 2004 with 125k miles on it.
Last month I did a complete tune up.
SP505 Plugs, Granatelli COP Wires and Accel Coils.
I was getting a miss and it came from 2 replacement coils
that were done under the extended warranty at 80k miles.

Both of these coils were CRACKED !!!

Now I had the transmission serviced and I am having engagement issues
when the tranny is hot.
From what I've been reading, it sounds like the main pressure valve
in the Valve Body is worn.
When it is hot, it won't engage drive right away.
If I give it light throttle, it engages really hard.
Reverse is fine but shifting is sometimes not firm like it should be.

In the 125k miles I have, the transmission was service 4 times.
Each service was done at about 30k miles.

I'm pricing around replacement valve bodies now.
Everything I'm seeing is about $500.
