Don't bother if you can't stand pop-up's either.

There are some good pics of what Mercury was thinking about doing. Seems they got the factory supercharger idea down about pat. I certiantly like it. Good thing the Marauders now don't resemble the early thoughts, with Crown Vic lights and corner lamps and thin chrome all around! How much would it cost to get a Marauder "chopped" and it be a convertible...including replacing the seatbelts, and doing all the handy work? Is $10,000 too much/too little?

Concept cars notwithstanding... the Marauder has got to be one of the most beautiful cars on the road today.

Amazing how it can be both subdued AND extroverted at the same time! Gaudy AND reserved. It's given me the opportunity to satisfy both my parental instincts AND my v8 muscle-car fetish.

I made sure to download all the pics of the 2003 model... I simply cannot tire of looking at photos of the automobile.

One of the reasons I hope this generation is produced for as long as possible... both to beautify the roads with its increased presence, and to allow me the chance to trade up a few years down the road.

Sad that they chose not to market an automobile that could be so much to so many people....

I think that may be the concept car that got auctioned on ebay. The Mercury club, owners club or something like that, sent me a copy of their magazine, and there was an ad announcing the auction. It was last fall's mag. and the date had already come and gone so I didn't do any checking. I think it was 2 door supercharged convertible though. I wonder who bought it and why such persoon would be a member here.
