I'm sorry but I cannot find it, but does anyone have directions on how to check the spark from the plug and COP? Or is there a way to check? Thank you in advance!!

Anyone? Please help. It's funny. 80 of you looked at this and decided not to. Just point me in the right direction. As is, she's DOA or DRT (if you know military lingo). I know it can be done, but I need some help. I surely do not want to destroy a Coil On/Over Plug, two or three. Thanks!
You test it like any other coil provide an aprox 1/4" air gap, crank and look for spark. The easiest way to get that air gap is to insert a screwdriver in the boot and hold the shaft near ground.

Or insert a spark plug in the COP and ground the shell of the plug......
Now that wasn't hard was it?

If you pull up the coil just a hair you can tell if is sparking to the plug.
What are you tryin to chase?

Or you can assume that if 1 COP is bad then there are others that are marginal, which replacing all of them would be the best route to go.

One or two bad COPs shouldn't leave your car DOA. it should start hard and run like chit, but it should still run.
I'd think it should run with as many as 4 bad COPs.

I replaced all the plugs and coils and now I have a no start. She turns over, occasionally wanting to start but dies off right away. Battery is fully charged. I added a fuel/air gauge, a fuel pressure gauge, a vacuum gauge and a 5" tach. I'm almost positive none of the gauges have this type of effect on the non start issue.
Thanks for the help!
Oh BTW, no codes.

If it turns over but won't start I would make sure there is enough fuel pressure. And go thru whatever you did and double check everything. Any unplugged wire connections just look for the simple stuff first.

What kind of coils did you install?
I know the with granatelli's you used to have to swap the positive and negative connections at the harness to COP plug. Thought they had fixed that but it may still be an issue. Just fishing here.... if you replaced with OEM just ignore this post.

The coils are from Performance Distributors, their Sultan's of Spark coils. I double checked the proper numbers for the MM. I'm testing the spark this evening. I'll post more then. Got to go take the CAI and coil covers off now. Thanks everyone for your help!!

Spark plugs gapped appropriately?
Fuel pressure? What does your new gauge say?
Fuel pump inertia switch?
Injector connectors?
T-shirt in air intake tube? Sock in MAF?
Camshaft position sensor unplugged?
Crankshaft position sensor unplugged?
Failed IAC? Try unplugging it and see if she starts.
Just thowing out some guesses.

You're not going to believe this, but I put three fuses on some of the new gauges and the damn thing started!!!!! WEIRD!
Thank you ALL so much for the help! This has been one heck of a learning experience.
When they say "put a fuse inline with ___", do it! Lesson Learned!:stupid:
