I figure this is the severely wrong crowd for anime convention pictures, but I thought I'd share anyway. I'm also not into anime, I don't know what any of these people are dressed up as, but I liked the costumes. There were many more crazy costumes there that I couldn't get decent pictures of because there were so many people. It was pretty fun, I enjoyed it even though it was for something I would never get into.

Yeah! I was totally surprised. I had never been to one of these things before, I'm really glad I went.

I was talking to one of the staff guys and he said they had over 12,000 pre-registrations, so that doesn't even include people who buy tickets day-of. I couldn't believe how many people were there.

I took a lot more pictures too, but I didn't use most of them because it was hard to get shots of people without getting a bunch of people in the background. I might even go back today and try to get some more, since the pass is good for the whole event.

That was the only one I took of them. From what I understand, that's the theme of the anime show they were dressed up as.

I know! She also knew exactly what to do when I told her to blow me... a kiss.

A lot of these people required direction, I don't think they are used to having their pictures taken.

How do you like the 5D MkIII?

Yeah, I didn't really think about changing DOF until it was too late. I was so caught up in testing out the camera I wasn't really thinking of everything. I was also battling the terrible lighting conditions.

I just got it a couple of days before this event, so this was my first time really getting to put it to use. I love it so far. This is my first time owning a full frame, I think I'll get a lot of great stuff out of it. The low light performance is amazing!
