Your only option is a Vortech.

Talked to Vortech twice so far today and they said
no for a MM. Still looking for a way to have it certified
and be able to sell it later here in CA. It boiled down to
the MM must be mentioned in the CA Air Resources Board
to pass.
Have any of you in CA been able to get around this???

I actually confirmed this by calling and emailing the CARB representative and they responded via phone and email; I can dig up if needed. All you need is to purchase a Vortech V2 or V3 Si-Trim with the CARB EO number stamped and furnish the ARB PDF which lists the Marauder/Crown Vic/Grand Marquis.

I spoke with MM owner on Sunday who had a trilogy installed. He stated because the install was so clean and factory looking he has never had a problem passing smog/inspection. Just saying.

What county in SoCal, some counties dont require it and only smog certifications within certain zip codes (http://www.smogcheck.ca.gov/70_SiteWideInfo/02_Tools/02_FindaStation.html). These include: El Dorado, Placer, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, and Sonoma.

I would also make sure you use the factory air-box to really sell it. No excessive chrome either. just make it look like it's been on there for 75K miles.

My factory air box and MAF are long gone...plus the tune is setup for the BA3000. They gave me a hard time for my JLT CAI and MAF, and shorty headers (no EO#) and cam covers (blue) they wanted to send me to a referee since they said it was a Shelby motor WTH!:bigcry:

Whats funny is my motor even fully built with 106400 comp cams shorties, cat delete and all PASSED the sniffer but failed the visual! I was like really? CAI, MAF and headers......same place I took it 2 years before except I didnt have the cams/headers/Corsa...I guess that gave it away huh:D
