Change trunk light to LED...

I want to change the trunk light bulb to LED... is it a 194 bulb..?

Wish it was a 194 bulb but I believe it is a 211 or 212 bulb type.

I bought a 1m long 5050smd LED strip and adhered it to the underneath of the trunk deck and took out the bulb and wired it straight into the wires. I love it, super bright.

I think that is what I'll end up doing with mine is do hidden light strips.

The OEM bulb is a 45mm festoon bulb.

I can read a newspaper on the trunk floor standing up outside the trunk.

Which color are you using that's close to original... I'd guess it's Pure white 5 K....?

No, warm white. They look better too, IMO.

Incandescent bulbs give off a yellowish light. LEDs give off a white light. You can get a non-clear LED but you'll not match the OEM incandescent lamps. Personal I like the the brite white look.
