Like the title says, I'm looking into a mild drop for a Marauder. Something to lower the car without making it ride like a buckboard. I have used the search option, but I couldn't locate one that said" X springs will drop it this much, and Y springs will drop it this much". I realize that the spring rate will have to be increased so that the car will not bottom out, but I was wondering if there was a progressive rate spring available. I was hoping not to alter the ride quality too much. This is for a DD so nothing too radical. ANy help with this would be great and thanks in advance.

Have not come across a progressive rate spring yet. Eibach used to make springs but no longer do. Might find a set on e-bay or try Eaton springs. If I remember they had a couple of choices depending on the drop you want. Then of course there are custom and you'd need to find a specialty shop for that. Good luck and post pics if you drop it.

Take the front coil springs out and cut 3/4 to 1 full coil, then get under the rear and adjust the rear leveling bolt.

I did the Eibach route. For me, too rough.

I cut 3/4 coil out of my 04 SB, perfect quality and height.
I cut 3/4 coil out of my 03 DPB, perfect quality, still too tall.

I went with eaton springs. you can go as low as a 1 1/2 inch drop with them. I would say however you choose to lower your MM go with KYB gas-a-just shocks all the way around. Smoothened out my ride nicely...

Thanks for the replies guys. I was suprised to hear that cutting coils was OK. I have cut coils before(never using a torch) but that was done because of lack of funds. Too young and too poor are not a good mix. Knowing how you guys are about your cars, if cutting the springs is acceptable that makes it great for me. Thanks again. Will update when done.
