I ordered Cooper RS3-A tires in stock sizes this morning. Should be arriving in a day or two.

Prices were $141 for fronts, each and $151 for rears, each. Spec's identical to OEM.

Local dealer could not even order them because the rears were not in his computer, and he wanted $224 for the fronts, each.

Reports I've read indicate customers are satisfied.

I just ordered two rear tires (Coopers) for my Marauder $327 shipped. Discount Tire. Com beat Tread Depot by $5.

TreadDepot is where I got mine, they got to me quick! Great service, probably would have tried discount tire but they weren't in stock when I tried. Have no regrets with treaddepot though.

Now that's what I call speedy delivery......service with a smile!!!

Shipping/service times like these are only dreamable here in Hawaii and the cost is another story.

Hi Ho Waymon,

Glad you asked. Got the windfall as expected, brakes are done, new tires will be mounted tomorrow, differential serviced, taking the car to Zack in Louisville Saturday and he will drive it to his shop and do the engine work and a couple of other small jobs, (head cooling mod, powder coat the valve covers and fuel filter mod).

After I get the car back then it's going to the paint shop for repaint of the front and rear valence's and the roof.

If there's anything left over from the mail box money, then new control arms.

I'll be pulling into Louisville hotel Saturday PM. Hope to see you there.

Yo Pat, glad to hear the car is progressing nicely. Soon she will be ship- shape and bristol fashion and you will be out terrorizing the streets again.

I however will not be attending Kentucky this year do to medical issues.

Tell Patricia hello and give her a big hug for me.

We are looking at the Coopers also. What is your feed back about the tires now that you have some miles on them?

Ive got some more miles on mine, less than 500, but some more miles atleast. I will say overall I am pleased. In the rain from a start off they aren't the best traction wise, especially on a hill or turn, but once you are going they aren't bad, and seem to have good hydroplane resistance.
In dry they hold well, and ride smooth. They seem to have the same cornering stability at the BFGs, and when they break loose they are very predictable.

Don't be afraid to venture from OE BFG. Better options or in the Coopers case on par it appears. 235/50/18 and 265/50/18 in Nitto 555 would be a nice OE replacement set.

Rain? You drive your car in the rain? Our garage queen does not like the rain. We will look into the Nitto's. The Coopers look really nice in the pictures.

A max performance tire with tons of grip look no further than Nitto NT05s.
