Rode in Whitey's car last night, and the shifts were on point. Will I need a corresponding tune?

You can do the Jmod on a bone stock car or tuned car. If the car has a tune I highly recommend setting the shift pressure down to ZERO on all shifts, drive the car and see how it feels, if you want a little firmer shift then adjust from that point.

I had it done to my car last year, even with a high stall converter I have my shift pressure increased by 1 step (5%) and it spins the tires at the 1-2 shift with ease @ WOT.

Its about $4 total for both separator plate gaskets. All you do is drop the valve body, drill out the separator plate, remove the accumulator springs, and re-assemble. I did a full fluid change when i did my jmod so that added ~$75 to the cost. Of course you could always re-use the fluid assuming you catch it in a clean drain pan. The only other cost I can think of is a drill bit.

This mod is probably one of the cheapest things you can do to your Rauder with amazing results!

Can you point towards where we can get the instructions to do the Jmod?
Thanks in advance.

Or IIRC, check out this site:

http://www.tccoa.com/

It should have how to J-Mod/instructions as I know it was asked on this site before and the above site was mentioned.

Hope this helps.

I ended up replacing the Elevated Pressure Regulator Spring & Valve kit, shift dual pack module, TCC lockup module.

You chould just buy this http://www.dirtydogperformance.com/transmission-rebuild-kits-and-parts/aod/aode/4r70w/4r70w-plate-style-shift-kit/prod_62.html and not have to worry about drilling.
