Was thinking about getting these brakes, with Hawk HPS pads. I assume those are semi metallic?

I like the 14" rotor kits but I want to keep the ability to run 17" tires, and don't want to change the calipers yet. Plus it's a lot of $$$ to go that route.

These are $639 for all 4 corners, which seems like a good deal. Anyone think these are better than Command Automotive cryo rotors?

I have DBA 's 14" Baer replacement rotors and they are top shelf, I would think that the 4000s are great too, but I don't have first hand experience with them. Call Ken at KNS he will tell you what you need to know, he knows brakes.

I have already ordered that exact setup, but it may literally be weeks or months before it gets done. Low priority. :(

Months?!?!? Man, I get impatient with my orders. :) Ask FBM...

I am actually waiting on the parts, but I'm the hold up here. Like to do the brake work in one shot, and that's an all day project. Tough to get a whole day. My goal is to get it done for carlisle.

This is why I couldn't do my own Trilogy swap. Could probably have figured it out but no contiguous time. Car would have been down for months, parts would be lost, etc.:bigcry:

Hell FBM is waiting on me to return an LCM and I can't even get the time to swap that out. That should happen this weekend.

I've got two small kids, they get dibs on me a lot.

Got a house to prep for sale too (not my home) :sleepy:

So you ordered from Ken (KNS) and the the kit was shipped to you in a normal amount of time? -- e.g. you are just waiting to install it all?

Or are the DBA 4000's on backorder?

He's currently waiting on the warehouse for the rotors. No ETA other than any day now. But because I will not be able to install them for weeks he is not rushing it for me.

You should ask him how long. Don't take my word for it.
