A little birdie at Lapeer Dragway told me that the Marauder will go away for awhile, but will return, with more hp/TQ than before.
Anybody know anything about this?

I said that once! If this is true, it's because they're redesigning the panther platform (crownvics/marquis(marquenia is the female version if i spelled that right.../towncar/marauder.) This is why:) Same reason they didn't put the Marauder out in 1998-1999, they knew the they were redesigning the frame, so they waited till 03'
So there...nothing I say is important that because I know no-one important at Ford and I'm only 16:D

Neither of these will be Muscle cars. Yes, MUSCLE CARS! That's what the Marauder IS, a RWD Muscle Car, & that's what it should STAY!
Over the years Ford had Bastardized so many Muscle Car names. Lets try to convince them NOT to do this to the name of MARAUDER!!!!!!!!

Well, I wouldn't be surprised if Ford introduced some sort of performance model when they announce the redesigned Panther-platform vehicles expected for model year 2006. Whether it's going to be under the Marauder brand or under a new Ford brand, who knows? I'm pretty sure Ford "gets it" regarding RWD vehicles . . . I mean, considering the wholly uninspired line of front-wheel drive Chevy products that Ford competes with, it seems to be a no-brainer that Ford would want to maintain a few V8-powered RWD vehicles in their future line-up. I'll certainly be keeping my eyes and ears open as we approach the summer of 2005 . . .
