rear end overhaul

i've noticed some oil drops in my garage from the rear end and see it's leaking from the pinion seal. i have a set of 3.73's laying around that i figure i might as well throw in. besides the Ford Master install kit, can i use a axle bearing and seal kit sold for '79 - '04 mustangs? i'm assuming the 8.8 rear insides are the same mustang to marauder.
