To top it off, just installed the car seat yesterday, and it was the first time my 4 month old son was in the marauder. Was making a turn when I heard a noise, and felt the car shift. Stopped to see the rear drivers side tire blown out and smoking. Americas tire said they couldn't repair the tire. Long story short...america's tire couldn't find a replacement since they are discontinued. It would have taken 3 days to get the cooper tires. I got 2 rear Radial TA's out the door for $218. Still running the BFG KDWS in the front, and they really don't look bad in the rear. My question is....any safety concern with these tires? We checked the weight limit, and everyone there said I would be fine. Mind you, I don't speed in the marauder....it's my daily driver, and I really do drive like a grandma. Just want to make sure since I will have my son in the car. Main concern is wet weather traction.

The Radial TA's are really not a good replacement option for our cars:

Coopers are getting good reviews, Nitto NT555s are good options, too.

Prolly not the best choice. But, you did what you had to do. I had to put a set of Nexan's on for awhile that were V rated. It drives more sloppy in the rear. Other than that, you'll get used to it. Just don't try to do slalom or drifting racing in it.

Tire rack still has the rears on back order.
I would consider purchasing another set of fronts to run on the back.
