i sold a member a inner cooler and fan , dont use paypal i sent him the items without any money and told him that once he gets it and look at it to send me a money order. First of All , how many people let you do this.. To me, it shows how honest i am with the intend to make a good transaction. i sold items to several members this way and they were very appreciated.
the sad part is that the inner cooler and fan is the exact same one i have on my 03 marauder with air to air. that blown 3.8 installed .
my point, if you buy anything from me mercury 5, (Remember my name) i will send you the the item first, you can try it out first, examine it, send it to a state lab or whatever you want to do to make you feel comfortable, then send me the money. that's the best i can do, i do not need negative input like im dishonest. , im not rich but im not hurting for NOTHING.:bows:

Man, that's awful. Assuming the deal was that cut and dry, the feedback was unreasonable. How can you get screwed on a part before you pay for it? If you get it, touch it, rub it, smell it, and pay for it, you own it. If you don't like it, send it back. Sorry that happened, I've been in your spot, and it sucks. I like the way you stepped right up, so ill certainly trust you if you have something I need. I hope all ends well.

To do business that way, certainly guarantee's customer satisfaction. I myself wouldn't feel comfortable buying that way, I figure it like this, if I buy it, whether it turns out to be something that is less/more than expected, I own it.
But cudo's to you for for being a "stand up" seller.

He's a pretty stand up guy. He's very picky, but that's ok. We all are in some sort of a way. I'm sure you two will work it out. If nothing else, you'll get your part back and be able to re-sell.

Here is exactly what I posted in my feedback. Think this explains why I was dissatisfied with my end of the transaction. As I said shame on me for not taking a closer look at the parts prior to signing for them or sending the money order.
"In the FS thread the seller states that it is the inter-cooler that came with air to air kit from Dennis. The P/N of the IC Dennis provides is IceVex IC30-F http://www.icevex.com/products_30f.html and the one that was sent was IC35-BB http://www.icevex.com/products_35bb.html. This is a much smaller IC that basically useless if I want to make over 400rwhp and I wouldn't have bought if it wasn't advertised as the stock unit from the Reinhart kits.
The fan unit sent was Performance Radiator P/N 620650 for a 01 Mustang not P/N 601680 (MM shroud and fan assy) as the seller told me in PMs.
I attempted to do a Paypal transaction with the seller and he said his wasn't working and wanted me to a send a money order. I said no way and he then told me that he would mail the parts first and I could send the money order after I received the packages.
Shame on me because I didn't look at the contents of the packages closer before I dropped the money order in the mail. Now I have to resell this stuff...."
As I said in my feed back fault for not taking a better look at it but in our PMs you told me a different P/N for the fan assembly than I received and every Vortech I have seen installed either had the IceVex IC30-F or larger IC not the tiny unit I received.
Take a look at the attached IC pics and tell me which one is right. The larger one on a red cloth is a pic posted by a member awhile back from his air to air kit and the small 6.5" tall one is what I received yesterday.
If I am incorrect in this statement and some kits did in fact come with this much smaller IC I will retract the negative rating and change it to neutral as the fan is a mustang fan and not the Marauder fan assembly P/N as stated in your PM.
I still agree your a stand up guy who sent me stuff without money first and I think your amazing for doing so but the parts sent are not what I was told they were. Again I will reiterate that I didn't look close enough at the parts before dropping the money order in the mail and shame on me for that. Your moneys on the way and now I need to resell these part.

I must say, although it is none of my business, that I appreciate the fact that you admitted where you went wrong, along with giving the o.p. respect for sending the items first. You both seem like reasonable men, and its unfortunate that there is some bad blood here. I really like the fact that you both expressed your feelings intelligently without the childish nonsense and name calling that easily could have occurred had you not stepped back for a moment. You both seem like honest guys, in a situation that seems to be an honest mistake. I hope you guys can resolve it in a way where you are both as satisfied as can be expected given the circumstances. I typically avoid forums because on most other sites, people all think they are always right and everyone else is wrong, thieving, etc. I joined here after lurking, because you treat each other with respect, all across the board. The mutual restraint here makes me confident that my initial judgement was correct. Good luck to you both, and for what its worth, (not much I'm sure, since I'm new and unknown) I would feel comfortable doing business with either of you. Many people just grow "keyboard balls" and spout off. And then everyone loses, especially mutual friends. Here's hoping you find a middle ground. Mike.

I feel we have met at a nice middle ground now, the seller offered a full refund and I have refused. I had right of refusal at time of delivery, and I could have asked more questions up front prior to shipment, the seller was honest and upfront but we missed a couple details
I lay most of the blame on myself here as I have been around several MMs with these kits installed and am familiar with most of the parts but not all the various kits and specific components.
A couple more simple questions about the parts up front before I said go ahead and ship em would have prevented any confusion.
We wouldn't even be having this discussion I had paid better attention at the time of pick up and not responded with a knee-jerk reaction once I finally got home that afternoon and opened up the boxes. I could have spoke with mercury5 and I'm sure we could have resolved it before I posted any negative feedback ratings or in his FS thread.
I have requested the mods to allow me to change or re-rate the transaction as I feel it was just a simple miscommunication.

Former rating has been deleted, Phil. Thank you both for working this out. It shows us that a reasonable approach to issues can have positive results.
