anyone rollback an odometer from a different car?

Hi guys, I'm new here. Has anyone bought a used cluster, and rolled it back to match the real mileage of the car its going into? I need a new one. Wondering if its much harder than the good old days. I don't want to ruin a 120 dollar part. Thanks, Mike.

It's a little harder.

Thank you for the offer. As long as I know it can be done, ill do it. I did one years back on an explorer that f-d up the shift points (lease vehicle my buddy had...).The computer went crazy. That was a long day. I'll give it a shot. Thanks again for the offer.
