Low reading on factory voltmeter

Yesterday I noticed the factory voltmeter on the Slayer1 was reading below 12 volts. when I got home and checked the voltage with a volt meter while running it registered 15 volts. Is the factory voltmeter just gone bad?

I think it's just not accurate. I would imagine if it's bad it wouldn't show a reading at all.

When I first bought mine, it was sitting at around 13 volts. Took it back to the dealership and they confirmed the alternator was a "low charge unit" and replaced it under their 30 day warranty policy.

Thanks, that might explain another problem I'm having with the battery light remaining on.

Make sure yours is made for a Marauder. Other will fit but won't work correctly.
