Long story fairly short:

1. I got the car aligned by super reputable shop due to tire wear. Seemed to track fine. Components were checked and were deemed ok.
2. A couple weeks later, and little miles, seemed to pull right a little. But mostly the wheel was crooked to the right. Irritating.
3. Got the car re-aligned. Shop said I must have hit something. Did not hit anything.
4. Seemed ok, but wheel still a little crooked wheel to the right. But no pulling.
5. Didn't drive her much after the re-alignment, then all of a sudden, the wheel is more than a little crooked to the left. Still no pulling.
6. Checked tire pressure of course, and all is good.

It seems like something is shifting around. Why would the wheel alignment shift back and forth? I watched them tighten everything down. And I checked the camber alignment with the holes in the washers, and they are in the same position as when they did the original alignment....They checked the ball joints, bearings and tie rod freeplay and all seemed good.

It was the first alignment in 133k miles and now I have problems. Any ideas?

Does it change on different roads? The crown on a road can really screw with the rack and pinion if there is any free play in it. Sometimes hard to diagnose when looking for slop. I bought the life time alignment from Firestone and them idiots have it pulling and steering wheel to the right slightly, but FINALLY no inner tire wear after FOUR visits. What do these idiots exactly DO on a test drive???

It's not the crown of the road. I wish.

Check the linkages from the steering wheel to the rack?

Put a torque wrench on the lower control arm front and rear bolts and ensure they are at spec.

The front bolts with the cam get torqued to 166 ft/lbs. The rear bolts are 111 ft/lbs.
