Well we knocked off work early today, Gainesville has just reopened up so we thought we would try and get the Mark 8 Dialed in. I ran last month at 11.78 at 128 MPH, the car then had the stock front Subframe. I did install Daniel Rollante new tubular assembly and I was apprehensive of how the car will act at the strip, but it did fine, Daniel is sending me some corrected control arms that allow for caster adjustment, well I got the car up to the waiting line strapped my self in with the new harness had a fire Jacket on, and was beside a blown Mustang, I heard one guy bet 25 he would was going to wax my A###@@@%%$$ I smiled eased on up I had the MT at 22 PSI did an awesome burn out got the car staged and the tree started down he got me off the line I will let the time slip tell the rest of the story.

This car is VERY strong we took the new SCT software with us and adjusted the 1/2/3 up shifts at WOT and this realy helped my ET and it was getting late so will go back next week this car will run mid 10's I am going to raise the stall to 4000 before next weekend, I will keep you all posted.

I must say that I got the privileage to ride in this car last Dec 20....and it was more a "flight" than "launch"--cause it seemed to raise up and fly before settleing down to serious bussiness --all within probable 900 feet of roadway---..any yes I too had to climb over the roll bars and seat belt in---Oh WOW--Thanks again Dennis--A thrill that will last a life time.............Tom...
Go MAN Go!! :banana2:

Congrats Dennis!! I know its there too.

Dennis drove us to work in the Lincoln Friday morning including stops at Burger King and the Transmission rebuild shop. Then he sent someone on a partys run with it later that day. I was fortunate I didn't have to crawl over the roll cage this time. Its an awesome car, makes you want to run right out and get one.

I've taken a ride in this car, as well...and as Zack says..."It's STUPID fast!!!"

Although, Mr. Levin says his is faster...I think we need to line them both up at the Atlanta FFW in April :banana2:

There are 227 reads on this post as I type this, 127 of them are mine. This is a "centerfold" thread for me, just can't stop reading it...

Dennis, my sincere congrats. Will your Rollante parts work on our MMs?

And the car looks so innocent too! No wonder the guy with the Stang thought he could beat the Lincoln. They must have thought some fool put a Cobra emblem on his Lincoln and now he thinks it's fast. Surprise Surprise !! I Love It !!!

Well I tell ya folks--I've seen them both --road in Dennis's and yeah--to see them against each other would be enough reason in itself alone to go to FFW in Atlanta in April !!!

Each has a car that has no limitations!!!

Todd--Work on Steve to do this and let us know---seems Dennis is ready!!

Jeez Louise...that is haulin' the Big A!!

I was at Dennis's shop when he was putting on the new front end....man talk about light......any dead weight there is gone now....not room for anything but the material needed to keep the car haulin!

Impressive numbers!

I think i will take Scott's on this race. I was pesent when his car ran 11.45 on radials loosing cylinders goin down the track. His 60 foot was .15 slower than Dennis's car ran. With slicks and the new combo mid tens will be childs play so Dennis if you are listening you better step it up or be drug down the track by the baddest of all MK8s!:pimp:

:banana2: :bounce: :bounce: :banana2:I am all for that. We already have the JT trim to bolt on and a new set of slicks. Hoping for 700 plus to the tires. We already added a custom JOEY BELL chromoly roll bar and subframes to better the 60s. I think mid to low tens at around 132 will be reasonable. look me up at the track for the wager. I would like to make for one the breakfasts.

I never said my car was faster or would beat Scotts, I just said I never seen it run long enough to get it on the dyno, while I was there on three seperate occcasions, Team Ford is buying the SCT tuning Scott will get the car dialed in, he is a very sharp Ford Tech.

Well, there you have it from the man who knows. :coolman: I didn't say he had the fastest car either. I said I was willing to place a wager on him. As you know the fastest car doesn't always win. Uh, Red light, you could do that Shanklin, or asleep at the line, or the car could run sour. I've been there and done all of it. I really look forward to the comradery at the FFW. I have meant nothing overly offensive just a bit of trash talking. :burnout:

I think a run between Scott and Dennis's Mark VIIIs at FFW would be absolutely fantastic to see and hear. I sure it would or should make some of the car mags. I will be there and I hope Dennis and Scott will also be there. This will be good clean competition - nothing else.
