What are you guys getting for mileage in town?
looking to hear from people that have a Cobra short (8.5:1 Compression)
with trilogy's on them.......

Mine has reduced quite a bit with the lower compression ratio and cams..... my stock short with the trilogy was pretty good....woundering if it maybe in the tune and the combination of the mods......

But i find it hard to beleive that dropping 1.5 in compression and adding mild cams would hurt it as bad as it is.........

gonna look at the short trim and long trim fuel tables to see if maybe the 02 arent up to the task anymore.

I get 15 - 19 mpg around town.

I really don't care what mpg I get.... if I did I'd be driving a Prius...

I have the setup you're referring to.

Cobra block 8.5:1 compression and trilogy.

I have been getting excellent gas mileage lately! (keeping my foot out of it)

Even with headers, twin pumps, and 60# injectors I'm getting over 300 miles out of a tank! :banana2:

I clocked my mileage closely on my last trip to and from Louisville!

Not certain that compression ratio's going to impact mileage as much as tune and driving habits with an S/C engine.

On highway, I average between 20 and 22 mpg if I keep my speed below 75 and don't jump on it much.

Around town, typically 14 -16, but I can easily drop that to 11 - 12 mpg if I get frisky.

Hmmmm, may need to tweak A/F at partial throttle, sounds like you're running a bit rich with that type of mileage.

Yes agreed....... also now these car can use more timing at part throttle as the C/R is 1.5 smaller this will also help i think........

Hrm, I have trouble hitting 300 on a tank with a bone stock mm... Then again, I wimp out when the low fuel light comes on at around 270, could probably push it to 300... :o

Wonder if a tune and exhaust would help as much as they did for the mustang. that went from 24mpg hwy to about 28 after losing 6 cats and getting a tune

Tune may help, will definitely give you more power.
