I was wondering if these were any good for performance, and are they worth the price.

I have them and I am really happy with them. They are firm but not harsh.
I purchased mine at Shox.com for 129.00. I emailed that guy on ebay and he said he could beat the 129 price. I like to go with the guy that will post he lowest price and not try to get more out of you unless you ask.

I have EIbach springs installed on my car and they are awsome. The reduction in body roll is very obvious. Also the car grips the road much better .I recommened these very much.

The Eibachs are a worthy addition. I was the first one that had them installed and I love them. Along with the rear ride height adjustment, it reduces body roll and makes the car much more stable at cornering and at high speed.

Eibach springs? Did you have to re-do your alignment? Any one ???

Yes, you have to have it aligned.
They might find that it is not too far out but it’s not worth wasting your front tires.
Make sure you find a shop that has the alignment mount that goes on the edge of your rim (between the tire and rim). I had a set of Chrome Saleen rims damaged because they used a machine that clamped directly on the wheels. The first three places I called could not assure me that they would not damage my wheels. I finally found a place that had the correct mount

I don't have Eibach springs. But I was told that removing one loop from the standard MM spring will accomplish the same result. Is this true?

Maybe its coincidence. But we're you referring to my comment about my question?

Maybe its coincidence. But we're you referring to my comment about my question? No John...he was saying that wholesale hyperformance had already sold 3-4 sets of Eibachs that day, from my post of their contact info. And...Barry was wondering if I was getting any kick-backs...which, much to my chagrin...is NOT the case.
As to your question...

Cutting springs is usually considered a :censor: way to lower a car. However, it can be accomplished if done properly. I know for a fact, that KB did this on their early builds (I don't know if they still are or using Eibachs)...but...supposedly... the way KB does it...is by NOT using heat, but literally slicing off thin sections of the springs (like at the deli), to not weaken the spring with heat.
Hope this helps answer your question, or someone from KB will chime-in to correct me.

Thank you for the clarification and response to my question.
The reason that we cut the factory springs is that Ken hasn't found an aftermarket spring that gives the proper support and ride characteristics that he is looking for.
We use the proper tools, spring compressor and cut off wheel, and never use a torch.
For our supercharged cars 3/4 of the top coil is removed. Normally aspirated cars have 1 coil removed.

David,
So, are you saying you got a better ride and improved handling out of a cut stock spring? Better than the Eibach springs?
Because I felt a great improvment over the stock springs with the eibach's.
How much does cutting 3/4 to 1 coil off lower the car?
Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff,
I'm saying that Kenny didn't like how other project cars have performed with some aftermarket springs. He used this gained knowledge and his years of experience when setting up the Marauder S package.
Removing that much spring will lower the car 1.25" to 1.5".
After you modify the front, you will need to adjust the air-ride sensor in the rear and have the car aligned.

David,
Don’t get me wrong. I am not saying anything negative about cutting the springs. I am just curious what the good and bad is in comparison to the Eibachs. I have the Eibachs on my car now. I am very happy with them but I am also open minded.
Has anyone ridden on both setups?

I never took any negative vibes, I'm just trying to clarify Kenny's philosophy on how he sets-up the cars....

Kenny could be doing it for consistency too. When he first built and lowered his MMs, there weren't any Eibach springs available. So cutting the springs was the only way to lower the car.
