View Full Version : Shelby, NC Car Show - May 26 - Interest?

While the post-BOC festivities are in full swing (and sadly I am not there), wanted to go ahead and get this on the board.

During the BOC today, there were several people passing out flyers about a car show in Shelby on May 26...this is all the info I remember about it, location and date.

Anyone interested in going to this? I am. Don't know what kind of 'nightlife' there is in Shelby (it's a small town), but I'm sure we can do some 'investigating' and figure it out.

Tom: You have any 'hotel connections' in Shelby?

For those unfamiliar, Shelby is located about 45 miles due west of Charlotte.

I say we try to keep this momentum going we got started at the BOC this weekend...you can NEVER have too many MM meets!

Discovered today that Shelby has a 1/8 mile track somewhere in/near town...

No interest? I plan on going, but don't want to go alone. It's only 1+30 from me and I won't have my kids until Sun, so need something to do to fill my day...

So far have only heard from Rex...where are the rest of you at?

I've got a couple friends up here that might go with me...would hate to go and the only MM they see is mine, which they already see all the time.

Okay, it just dawned on me (I love lamp!) that the 26th is during Mem Day weekend, so now I realize many folks have already made plans for this holiday weekend.

If I came off as being pushy/obnoxious/whatever, I apologize. I just love getting together and hanging out with you guys. When there's the opportunity for me to join the gang, I get revved up about it.

No worries brother, getting the boys together for a car show is always a great idea, especially considering the passing of Mr Shelby

Can't make this one Kyle. :( Mom arrived from Florida to visit family in NC, so my free weekends will be tied up with family stuff until Mid-June.

Anyone besides Russ have any interest in going to this show? I know it's prob too late in the game by now and to be honest, I'm not as interested as I was a couple weeks ago...my local friends that were interested have backed out as well.

I'll keep scanning the internet to see if I can find a show in the future that is somewhat centric to all of us and holler and scream about it to y'all...

Invitation is always open for anyone to come up here during the summer and cruise the BRP...will be bumping the Bele Chere thread shortly...
