Over 250 Fords registered and displayed at this year's show. We had seven Marauders, which got the usual ton of questions and complements.
A special surprise, one of the original Carolina Marauder members, dok, dropped by to say "hi" along with his lovely wife, Lola.
Saw a '64 T-bird with enough bling to give Doomie a run for his money.
My dream car was on display: a '63 1/2 Galaxy fastback with 406.
Some great older Mercury iron as well:
A (I think) '65 Comet in drag trim.
A rare (1 of 15) BF/X Comet
A Cyclone GT
And a sweet Cougar Eliminator

Here's the Cougar, plus a couple more cars I really loved.
This one was another favorite: a '67 Galaxy with a factory 428 and 4 speed.
Actually ended up with nine Marauders on display, met a new guy named Hardy, and J-Bone had his car down in the lower lot.

Well, after looking at that pic, I guess it's no longer a mystery. I'm pregnant...and Tom's the mother!
Good Lord I need to lose that gut! Too much fast food lately. Time to go on a diet...now where'd I put my beer and cheetos?

I gotta give props to Russ; on Friday, I showed up at his place a little after noon and we spent (well, he worked harder than I did) the rest of the afternoon (until 5pm) working on my MM.
Took the wheels off and while I tried to get the insides of the rims looking purty (just too much junk to get them spotless with a brush), he flushed my brake fluid--it was as black as the insides of my rims. I also helped him claybar my car (1st time it's been done) and he cleaned up the engine bay. He also fixed a couple hairline cracks in my marker light that was allowing water in...must've been at least a half a beercan's worth in it.
Made me feel just like the first day I saw her in Albuquerue at the airport. After we were done, I asked, "So, how much do I owe you?". "$30" was his answer. "THAT'S ALL!" I nearly screamed...I paid him double and paid his tab at TK that evening...still don't feel like that was enough.
I haven't done routine maintenance on a car since I bought my Jetta back in 2000...always had to take it somewhere that had the 'specialty tools' required to do even the simplest of jobs. Working with Russ that day 're-learned' me a few things about routine maintenance and doing things myself.
My hat's off to you Russ...you are a class act.
I like Russ. I won a box of Croftgate stuff in a raffle once and afterward he told me that a bottle of stuff was missing and to give him my addy and he would send it free of charge. Hell I didn't even know a bottle was missing, for all I know it only came with the three that were in the box, he could have kept it to himself and I'd have been none the wiser. I've liked him ever since.
That is my Russ story and I'm sticking to it.

Glad to help you out. Just hope my lift is back up and running will make cleaning wheels and underside easier.
