I am starting to look seriously at moving to Arizona (Scottsdale possibly) from this depressing New Jersey where I have lived for the last 44 years. First off does anyone know whats involved with the motor vehicles inspections in AZ???
Also how do they treat older cars (my 68 Camaro).
Also if anyone has any info on Scottsdale they would like to share.
Thanks
Mitch

Vehicle inspections in Arizona are nothing like what they had in PA when I lived there for a year.
They'll do an emissions test on 1967 and newer vehicles, check your gas cap(maybe not on your 68 though), PCV & evaporative canisters.
Heres a link with more info: http://www.adeq.state.az.us/environ/air/vei/tested.html
No complaints about Scottsdale - it just depends on what your looking for in a city. Scottsdale is on the higher end of the scale as far as living costs are concerned. There are several other cities(Gilbert, Mesa, Tempe, Chandler, Phoenix, Glendale) in the metropolitan area so make sure you check them all out.
