Going to be ordering 31 spline carrier soon for my 4.10 swap.

Give me your opinion on Eaton vs. Auburn vs. Ford racing.

I like the Auburn design with no clutch pak but I had some issues with the Auburn in my 96 Impala SS that make me a little gun-shy about putting one in the MM.

Thanks! :D

I just put the Auburn pro in my MM i love it!, ive used them before in other projects and have had great results.

The Eaton is also a good carrier as well, i just prefer the Auburn personaly ,the Ford trac loc is the cheapest, and also the weakest, the Eaton has more cluctches, and stronger springs for better lock up/traction.

The Auburn pro series, and the Eaton are your best options!

Yes they do, but the best carrier for a street driven car is a Limited slip type diff.

If it's a DD consider maintenance/rebuild.

I have had no problems with the Ford unit. 545RWHP and 50+ 1/4 runs and 60K miles on MT Cheater Slicks and DR.

I've been using the ford racing t-loc upgrade kit. Works well for a fraction of the price. Standard equipment on the cobra and gt500.

The Eaton Trutrac is without a doubt, the no-brainer choice. I have a Detroit Locker in my 2003 MM, and now wish I would have gone with the Truetrac. Too much backlash with the Detroit. Call Eaton tech and they will recommend the Truetrac. Any other differential is a lessor choice.

Checked their website - are you referencing the COBRA/GT500 LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL, didn't see a Terminator/GT500?

Haven't looked on the website, but I would imagine that is the one if it fits an 03-04 cobra. the term "terminator" was the internal ford reference to the 03-04 cobra bc of its powerplant. I doubt you'll ever see an official reference from a ford dealer to a terminator part but most people refer to the 03-04 cobras now as the terminators.

I went with the cobra unit from tousley Ford. When it goes I'm buying the same unit again. Best bang for the buck.
