:help:My name is Jeff. I just recently joined your site. I've been having problems with the paint on my 2003 300A. Unfortunately, I've since learned that the 300A has a big paint issue. I decided to try to contact Ford Motor Company to see if there's anything they could do to help those of us suffering from this terrible affliction. Big surprise, they refused to help.

Now to the point: I've been thinking of ways to "agitate" Ford Motor Company into helping us with this issue. And I've come up with a unique, all-be it possibly futile idea...

WOULD ANYBODY IN THE DEL-MAR-VA AREA BE WILLING TO JOIN A "CONVOY" STYLE PROTEST AGAINST FORD MOTOR COMPANY?? We have all been wronged by Ford, and now we must try to fight back. Remember, the bigger this gets, the more chance we have of making an impact! It's worth a shot, right?? Drop me a line here or email me at dubchevy72@hotmail.com if you're interested. At the moment, there are no official dates or plans for this event, but lets make them! Thank you so much!:bs:

I applaud your enthusiasm, but the car is over 9 years old....... Ford won't give a crap.

He^ is right. Hell my car was still under bumper to bumper warranty and three dealers said no and two of them even called ford. And I talked to ford the last time and told them lots of black panthers had that problem.

Yup.

Very few folks have been successful with Ford cooperating on correcting the issue.

These cars are "dated", and Ford will not give it a second thought.

^^^^^ What they said. ^^^^^^

The key word here is age. There are so many variables that could impact condition of the cars after 9 years that there's no way a solid case can be made that Ford is at fault for paint defects.

I suffer the issues with my car that many others do, but when it comes down to it, if I want to get them fixed, I'm just going to have to suck it up and pay for a strip and repaint myself.

I second the applaud and hope you can round up a few to help you. Luckily mine has lived most of her life sheltered from the weather. But don't even get me started on the clear coat or lack thereof.

In 1985, while under warranty, Ford refused to correct a drivetrain vibration on my 85 TurboCoupe.

Their rationale?

The vibration came on at 65 mph. National speed limit in NJ back then was 55.

Case denied.

Good luck.

My dealer went to bat for me about 4 ys ago and I got all the horozontal surfaces re-painted. He told Ford what a good customer I had been over the yrs and demanded that they do something. Ford agreed to the repaint. The car had 30K on it at the time. Original warranty on paint is 12/12 FWIW.

Ford has a 5yr unlimited mile warranty on paint from the vehicles warranty start date so unless you have a time machine don't bother. Sorry!

And yes folks they all do it!

Supposed to have hooked up with Steve but never happened. It is still a burr for me as they knew they had a problem and couldn't have cared less if they alienated a lifelong Ford lover like myself. It was plainly wrong.

GM dumped on me with a lemon minivan. I vote with my wallet and won't buy another GM product as long as I live.:burnout:

And they wonder why they went broke.........

Good luck. The SHO guys actually did a class action against Ford for the ****ed up cam issues. I was one of the lucky people that had the failure.

They didn't get a cent out of them with like 1200 documented failures.
