My Addco polyurethane bushings are squeaking like crazy. I re-lubed them last weekend with silicone based lube (the thick kind, not the spray). They were better for about 15 minutes.

What is everyone else using to lube their bushings?

Has anyone glued their bushings to the bar like OEM?

Get the energy suspension marine grade grease in the tube, or 5oz container, that has always worked for me.

I used Energy suspension bushings front and rear. I heard so many problems with the Addco's that I didn't even consider them an option. I've been very happy with mine. I also used ES rear pins and Moog front links along with drilling out the front bushings and tapping a zerk to match the rear along with channeling a groove inside the bushing with a Dremel for ease of grease flow.

I have the same problem. I use a special bushing lube thats mainly used in the aircraft industry and is great for temperature extremes. It's good for about 6 months before they start squeaking again.

Where does one go about getting Energy Suspension bushings from? I like the idea of having a zerk fitting. Their website shows bushings/brackets with a zerk already installed. Justbob, you made your own though?

Try here:

And give them a call for additional questions you might have.

Also can use google search...

I don't have time right now, but if you do a search from a couple weeks ago, I posted part numbers on here. The front ones didn't have zerks like the rear, hence my 5 minute dremel drill/tap on the fronts.

Plus one on using marine grease works great, no squeaks.

You MUST use synthetic grease with the Addco bushings.

Just picked up two (2) containers of Valvoline syn power synthetic grease which I now plan to use on the chassis components instead of the multi-purpose.

I am also thinking of roughing up the ID of the bushing just a little bit with some sand paper. The bar and the bushing are both very smooth which can result in a stick-slip action as the bar tries to rotate. I am thinking that if I rough up the bushing and then lube it back up really good it might last for a while. The stock rubber bushings are glued in place, but I have seen other cars that use bushings with a cloth texture finish on the ID. Same idea as roughing mine up, and if I screw them up...oh well energy suspension bushings here I come.

My Addco, Energy Suspension & Metco bushings get lubed once a year with synthetic grease. Never had a problem with noise etc since they've been installed (over 6 years).
