not sure if the motor is going bad on my passanger side window.. i can roll it up and down but there seemes to be a delay for about a second... i think if your sitting in the passanger side and try to roll its down at times it dosent work. mabey its just the switch itself but highly unlikely

Probably the contacts on the switch!

Talk to Birdman when he takes your car.

You're not alone. I "sometimes" have the identical problem with the front passenger window. I know the problem is most likely on the drivers side
control window switch box. A cold solder joint maybe.

My passenger side window has been doing the same thing, I did take the switches apart and clean them and then it seemed fine for a month or so. I think I may end up swapping the front passenger window switch with one of the rears since I hardly put the rear windows down and never have anyone sitting in the back anyways.

I can take a look at it when you get your HIDs done.

Any fix to this? My front passenger window won't go down at all.

Will it go up?

An easy way to find out if it is the switch itself is to swap it out with one of the rear window switches. If it starts moving up and down by the switch @ the passenger side then it was just the switch. If it still does the same thing then it's something else such as the motor.

The window is up and won't go down. How do I change the switch?

Pop off the door trim and pop out the switch. It's self explanatory once you get the trim piece off. Be gentle so as not to break any tabs on the door trim panel.

Might want to make sure it is the switch. The regulators stick a lot. With the car off and the inside lights on, turn the key on, engine off. Press the window switch up or down. If the lights dim very sligthly for a second and the go back to normal, the electrical circuit is working fine. The problem is in the regulator or the motor.

To free a stuck window, turn the key on, go the bad window and rock the switch up and down while slapping your hand on the inside door panel just below the armrest in the center. It may take a few times of slapping and rocking the switch, but the window will unstick. Then spray a small amount of WD40 on the felt track where the window slides up and down.

This will buy time, even years before you have to replace the regulator. If you take it to the dealer, they will replace the regulator and motor and charge you $$. My right front has been doing this off and on for a few years, usually when there is a temperature change.

Sparying the felt runs every few months with a light amount of WD40 (not enough to get all over the glass) will prevent the windows from sticking and putting a lot of load on the regulator and motor.

Swapped my passenger side front window switch with the rear one and the front works again all on it's own.

Probably the contacts in the socket had some oxidization on them or loose.

Took it apart the other month ago everything was fine, I did clean the contacts but they really didn't need to be cleaned.

First it was the blinking heated light switch, then the window switch and now the door lock actuator, all on the same door. lol
