I wouldn't use any spacers on any vehicle unless the vehicle was designed for them.
Adding spacers and moving the wheel away from the hub puts increased stress on the wheel bearings, spindle, knuckle, and the axel housing itself.
You are also changing the suspension geometry.

but the tires are about 1/4 inch from the shocks..... I am ready for new, do the QA1's have a smaller tube?
Im just kinda worried about rubbing.

I have 1/4" spacers for my widened wheels with QA1s they cleared without them, but by only 1/4"

Get a set of 1/4" spacers and problem solved. We do it all the time with 1.5 60' cars.

Spacers are fine when used properly, but always use hub centric spacers to ensure your wheels are centered.
These are what you want on the rear, and the exact one i run on my car, if you use 1" spacers you will have to cut your studs so they they sit flush in the spacer.

Here is what you get with 1" spacers! as you can see some cuting is required, just get the 1.5" bolt em on and go

if you've got it, or can snap one quick, do you have a shot of straight down the side, to see the wheel/tire offset.... sorry to be picky.

Do the spacers give any handling gains?
